Russia's Air-launched Weapons: Russian-made Aircraft Ordnance Today

If you are interested in Russian military aviation this is one of the must have books for your library. This book supplements his two previous volumes on Russia-made Military Aircraft and HelicoptersToday by adding in air-launched weapons. I appreciate this book even more so since books on aircraft are relatively plentiful but information, let alone an entire book, on aircraft weapons are much more difficult to find. Buy this book before they run out and you will have to pay three times as much from a second hand store. You might also want to look at other books from Harpia Publishing. They have some similar format books on Chinese aviation as wells other aviation topics. Of the six Harpia Publishing books I have bought, all have high gloss pages with great pictures and are well worth the price.

If you have any interest in modern Russian warplanes, this book is a must-have. The author, Piotr Butowski, is famous for his many works regarding Russian aircraft, and this book compliments those works. Included in the book are the entire range of weapons carried by Russian aircraft, including all air-to-air, air-to-ground ordnance, rocket pods, jammer pods, and glimpses of future ordnance. This book should be in the collection of everyone who is interested in modern Russian aviation.

This book is worth every penny and beyond! I just so wish something like this existed for the wrests air launched nasties! It's an amazing encyclopaedia of the soviet unions load outs for their aircraft and helicopters with great explanatory text on the history and development of each weapon as well as interesting data such as length, penetration and range. Well worth it! So going to get the two books on soviet aircraft now!

Packed with info - Dont expect cold war detail - this is modern only, but thats fine.

The book is extremely interesting; I only regret that it does not contain 252 pages like the other titles of the series, but only 92 pages. It is an interesting summary.

I was expecting more volumeof information. Overall a good book on the subject
