## Questions & Answers

**Q: How long does a 10 oz stay fresh & good for once opend ?**
A: I would think a while. My bunny eats them within 2 weeks or so. The lid is tight, so stays fresh. Besides, it is hay.

**Q: Can this take the place of loose hay?**
A: These timothy hay cubes are made from the hay powder of the whole timothy grass, so these hay cubes contain more nutrition than your pet gets every day. In most cases, your pet only eats part of the hay, not all of it. However, in terms of fiber, the hay cube contains less fiber than the hay. When we smash the hay into powder, the coarse fiber contained in the hay will become powder.

**Q: What is the binding agent that keeps the balls together? Hay doesnt stick together like that naturally. but, ingredients lists only hay.**
A: Hi, thanks for asking. You are absolutely right ! Hay is the only ingredient listed, but I suspect something sweet has been added to it, as my bunnies go bananas for the hay cubes, and one of my bunnies started gaining weight 🙁 I suspect it could be molasses, but I don't know. I haven't tried to contact the company. If you want to ask the company, contact Mango Pets. There contact information is available when you click on the oh cool hay cubes.

**Q: What cut are these made from?**
A: We only cut once a year. it is around the end July every year, to assure the hay with most nutrition.

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My guinea pigs like them/eat them/don't waste them.
*by on Reviewed in the United States September 23, 2026*

They are a bit expensive but my guinea pigs don't eat the sticks. They like these. I can hear them crunching on them. So cute. The container is reusable so I will probably end up with a few of them.Would buy again.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly Recommended
*by on Reviewed in the United States October 5, 2026*

My bunny absolutely loves these. I fed them to her after her spay procedure while she was still recovering and not ready for her normal hay and pellets. It was one of the best ways to get her gut moving without relying on critical care and stressful syringe feeding. Such a blessing!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 50/50, two pigs, one like
*by on Reviewed in the United States May 26, 2026*

Between the two female pigs, one loves these and snatches them up, and it is gone in seconds, literally. The other one won't even consider them. Piggies are strange :) At first, the one that doesn't like them now loved them. The other one didn't. Now it is reversed. HA! Anyway, these are great, and they are a great treat for the treat-mongers that demand a treat all the time without over loading them on veggies and such. These are worth giving them a try. They are very hard and about the diameter of a of a dime, and they work great on the teeth.
