## Description

Name: UCTRONICS 0.96 Inch 128X64 Yellow Blue OLED module This OLED display module is small, only 0.96” diagonal, it is made of 128x64 individual yellow and blue OLED pixels, each one is turn on or off by the controller chip. This oled screen works without backlight, that is, in a dark environment OLED display is higher compared to that of LCD display you will like the miniature for its crispness. The Driver chip of this oled i2c display is SSD1306, which is compatible with IIC communication. So this esp32 oled module can be controlled by I2C. That is, except the VCC and GND, 2 wires would be needed when using 4-wires I2C mode. There is also a simple switch-cap charge pump that turns 5v into a low voltage drive for the OLEDs, making this module the easiest ways to get an OLED into your project. Features: OLED self-luminous, no backlight Size: 0.96” Driver IC: SSD1306 Voltage: 3.3V-5V DC Viewing angle: > 160° High resolution: 128 x 64 Working Temperature: -30°C~70°C Display: 2 rows of yellow, 6 rows of blue Module Size: 27mmx 27mm x 4mm Screen material: glass, need good protection I2C Interface: GND: Ground VCC: 3.3V~5V SCL: I2C Serial Clock (UNO: A5; MEGA: 21) SDA: I2C Serial Data (UNO: A4; MEGA: 20) Applications: MP3, MP4, watch Head-mounted displays Meters and other intelligent instruments Design any pretty patterns for your beloved electronic devices! Package including: 1pcs UCTRONICS 0.96 Inch 128X64 Yellow Blue OLED Display Module

Review: Great little display! - This is a great little display for the money! I received it yesterday and was able to get it set up and running on my project in no time. I cannot speak to the refresh rate as I currently send data to it once every second. But the brightness is amazing and the top 16 rows of pixels are yellow which is great if you want to display errors or have a contrasting title line, I had a short in one of my sensors on the same i2c bus in power circuit which caused the display to pixelate badly but as soon as I replaced that sensor, The screen worked normally again. The circuitry at least is very durable. It connected at i2c address 0x3D easily as described.
Review: Great buy for affordable OLED screen! - Works great for my test project. Animations are clear and brightness is great. If you’re on the fence about which affordable OLED to get, this is it. I had previously ordered another brand of the same screen in a 3 pack for about the same money. All of those were DOA

## Questions & Answers

**Q: what can you do with it**
A: I use one as a weather station display with an esp8266. I use another as a display for an APRS tracker. The uses are virtually limitless

**Q: Can I run multiple displays from the same i2c bus?**
A: Yes, you may select 1 of 2 addresses so you can run 2 from the same buss. BUT, there is one other problem that may get you.
Using the recommended library, each instance of the display uses 1k bytes of memory for screen storage, plus a fair amount for housekeeping. So, depending on the computing device you're using you may not have enough memory to run two of these displays. For example, using an Arduino UNO with one display and just a 'Hello World' I received a low memory warning from the compiler. There are a couple work arounds.

1) If you don't need graphics go to GitHub (https://github.com/greiman/SSD1306Ascii) and download the Arduino SSD1306Ascii library. It's lightweight and versatile, but doesn't provide pixel by pixel graphics. This is what I did for the project I built using this display.
2) Use an Arduino Mega, Raspberry Pi, Beagle Bone, or something else that can access more memory.
3) Something I considered but didn't use because it seemed to be overkill plus, I didn't need the graphics, is use a dedicated board like a NANO to drive the display and send it commands from your main processor. Lots of advantages to that but approach but some disadvantages too.
4) Last but not least is when I get around to it I may design a board using something like an ATmega640 to act as display driver for this, and similar, displays. Maybe a little bit of overkill too, but it's a thought.

Finally, aside from the memory issue, I really like these displays. :)

**Q: Where can I find code examples/libraries for this?**
A: Dear Sir,
Here is the link of libraries, please check it.

Works great. I used the Adafruit SSD1306 and Adafruit GFX Libraries in Arduino. Claude can plug and chug with this all day long :)
