Review: Use a 1.5A fuse and a relay - The switch works well. I was reading some comments about accessories being dimmer and even a fire. You cannot run anything more than 1-2A through a switch. You must isolate the high amperage circuit with a relay. If you have a 30A light with thick wire and you expect 30A to flow through this switch reliably, you will start a fire. Relays have 2 circuits. One is from the battery to your accessory (usually high amperage positive). The relay functions as a switch. Whether the relay is on or off can be safely controlled with this dash accessory switch. Really, you should fuse both inputs to the switch - your circuit and to the light on the switch with 1A fuses. FYI, fits toyota dash blanks well.

The switch works well. I was reading some comments about accessories being dimmer and even a fire. You cannot run anything more than 1-2A through a switch. You must isolate the high amperage circuit with a relay. If you have a 30A light with thick wire and you expect 30A to flow through this switch reliably, you will start a fire. Relays have 2 circuits. One is from the battery to your accessory (usually high amperage positive). The relay functions as a switch. Whether the relay is on or off can be safely controlled with this dash accessory switch. Really, you should fuse both inputs to the switch - your circuit and to the light on the switch with 1A fuses.
