I purchased this to operate a CNC wiresaw for stone. I have not installed it yet but the build quality is very good and while one can tell the documentation was written in another country, it's very understandable and complete. I'll try to update when in use.

I ordered this setup and installed everything textbook perfect. I carefully combed through all the setting in the manual they supplied. I also followed up with all the info on setting I could find online.First , the keyboard does not work it randomly turns on and offSecond, they will not point you in the direction of a post processor.Third, this controller is glitchy at best. I can run the exact same program twice and get 2 different parts.Fourth, I reached out to customer service to see if I was missing something shortly after purchasing this setup, they were on a Chinese holiday. I never got a response so after their holiday was over I tried to contact again with no response I went to return it and now my 30 days are up and I am stuck with this.DO NOT PURCHASE!

This controller marks my first dive into setting up CNC. The instructions are clear, everything is well marked. I had this wired in a test setup within a couple of hours. All of my other experience is basically on the operator end with Fanuc, AB, and Siemens interfaces. This is not one of those, but very few hobbyists are going to be able to justify the cost of any of those. This seems excellent for the price.

One reviewer stated that this controller does not accept imperial measurements, but under accepted G-Codes, there is G20 & G21, G20 being called out at the beginning of the program, than the controller converts it to metric internally, so don't have to set in the controller per say, You just define G20 for Imperial or G21 for Metric in Your code.

FYI, I bought this kit in Dec 22. Once I powered it up, I found out that it reads only in mm. Went over the parameters page with a fine tooth comb and there is no option to change the units to inches. Checked the manual (after the fact) and nothing. If all your tooling is metric, and you want to work in metric, then you are good. Since I'm here in the US, all my tooling is imperial, so I am disappointed with this controller. I have tried to contact Digital Dream to see if there is a software fix, but no response. All other DD controllers (3.1, 4.1) have unit change option. Check the manuals before you buy and don't make a $600 assumption like I did. Now I'm stuck and have to find a new controller.
