Fans have demanded many Pink Fairies reunions over the years. One legendary one was their 1975 Roundhouse gig in London; here's the recording of that plus their 1978 EP and their 1984 LP Previously Unreleased. Includes City Kids; Uncle Harry's Last Freakout; Going Down; Do It; Psychedelic Punkeroo; Lucille, and more vicious cuts by these prized predecessors of punk!

Pink Fairies Rule!
The one question I have about this excellent CD is if that is Lou Reed singing "Waiting for the Man". Whoever it is, since Lou's name is not listed in the credits, sounds just like him. Plus their version of" Going Down" by the other Reed"Jerry" kicks butt. This has to be the best version I ever heard of this classic song. Then there's "Lucille" which turns into an incredible jam. These songs are easily worth the price of admission, though the rest is great too. If you love Rock n Roll, you should not be without this!

The Dawn of punk rock! These recordings indicate their move from the blazing psychedelia of their early works to a raw pistols-inspired sound. Not as great as their 1973 "Kings of Oblivion" or their other Polydor recordings but, still very much worth owning.

Pink Fairies - 'Live At The Roundhouse / Previously Unreleased / Do It '77' (Big Beat)
Superb Pink Fairies CD to have, one of those two-on-one releases. First segment is a five song / 45-minute one off reunion gig that the Fairies played with the original line-up in 1975. The sound mix on "City Kids", "Waiting For The Man", "Lucille","Uncle Harry's Last Freakout" and "Going Down" simply couldn't be better. The next six tunes labeled as 'Previously Unreleased' is so-so, with the best track being "Waiting For The Lightning To Strike"(would make a good Alice Cooper tune). The disc closes out with a three song EP titled 'Twink And The Fairies', circa 1977 I believe and it's a bit funky. It's Pink Fairies drummer Twink carrying on with his own project. Highly recommended.
