Impressive Performance in a Tight Package
All around a great boat - with really good features at a fraction of the price of hobby-grade models. I'm really impressed at how fast it is: this thing RIPS! I took it for a test run in a local pond and in a river, and it looks to me as fast as much bigger boats. From my runs, I would say the range is very good on the included remote. You will lose sight of it before the connection is lost.Inside, it's very impressive. It uses some very simple parts and everything is serviceable, so you could replace the speed controller, receiver or motor yourself. The remote that comes in the box is 2.4ghz, and binds quickly to the boat. Pull the trigger and it will take off like a rocket. The only thing to consider is: this boat is small, so big waves or weeds in the water can flip it or clog the propeller and cause it to get stuck. I would recommend racing this thing around in a place where you can reach it if you need to. But for the cost and features you get, I couldn't imagine needing to spend more on a hobby-grade boat. This one is pretty impressive.PROS:- Fast, very fast- Comes with a great radio that works well, could easily cost $50 on its own- Parts appear to be easy to service and fairly standardNOT-SO-PROS:- It's light, so it's easy to flip over if you hit a rock or big wave- You need to go fast to turn effectively, it will not turn at low speedstl;dr If you're looking for a fun little boat to rip around the local lake or your pool, this thing is really impressive for its cost and size. It's smaller than you'd think, but these new little cigar boats are all the rage. Just like the real thing in a tiny package.

Fatal Flaw
Boat performs well except for one fatal flaw; it flips often (especially in lake) and will not right itself. We have had other R/C boats that are more stable and easily right themselves after a flip. Returning this one.
