Excellent Toe Separators!
I've tried so much for my feet that hasn't worked, from toe loops that hold certain toes together to many different toe separators. These are the best! The only ones that are as good, and actually better in many ways, are the Correct Toes separators, by Northwest Foot & Ankle. I bought my Correct Toes at the Natural Footgear website. They are not cheap, but they are worth the money.I suffer from plantar fasciosis, and Morton's neuromas in both feet. The little toes of both feet have been broken/badly injured as well. Morton's neuromas make you feel you've got a pebble in your shoe, but you don't. It's thickened nerve tissue between the 3rd & 4th toes from the big toe that can be painful, intermittently or even constantly, especially when you put weight on it, and also causes numbness/neuropathy in the toes. Very uncomfortable to very painful, as in letting out a cry of pain and holding my foot up.These toe separators have put a stop to the pain and a great deal of the neuropathy that keeps me from sleeping well. They are soft and pliable in my shoes, under my socks and give just enough of a stretch between the toes to work on that neuroma of thickened nerve tissue.I usually alternate days between these toe separators (gentler and more pliable) and the firmer Correct Toes which create an even wider spread of the toes. The wider spread really goes to work on those neuromas and my other foot problems of muscles, fascia and tendons. Unlike some people, I wear the Correct Toes on my bare feet and put socks on over them, and I have no problems with them slipping off of my toes, such as if I try to wear them over Injini toe socks. Some reviews mention discomfort or pain with wearing these. But people should really give them a good try out over time before assigning a negative review to them. This is why. In China, there was a custom called foot binding of women to make them have tiny, supposedly more attractive, feet, and basically crippled women, especially of the upper classes, for many generations. If these women tried to unbind their feet at an older age after 40 or 50, the pain could even kill them.In a lesser way, the shoes we wear in our modern society and culture have done the same, our feet being sacrificed to appearance and style while our toes are unnaturally pinched together. So yes, if you have worn shoes that have unnaturally pinched your toes close together, when you start wearing these toe separators and/or Correct Toes, you are going to have discomfort or even pain as your toes and feet start to assume more natural positions. And if you're a woman and have worn high heels of any size, but especially really high spiked heels, the problem with your feet and toes is even worse. And your back could be suffering as well.Give these separators a chance to work, and switch your shoes to zero-heel drop shoes like Altra sports shoes, and minimalist footwear like Xero shoes or Lems. Shoes with a big toe box that give your toes room to stretch and wiggle, and your foot to begin to assume a more natural position while walking, running, hiking, etc. Vibram Fivefinger shoes are great too as they separate the toes with the design of the shoes. If you want to start with the gentlest way to start spreading your toes back out, start with toe socks like Injini or others that separate the toes the least amount in the beginning. An update to my review:In the product picture for these toe separators, it shows the them on the toes with these little clear flat oblong sections on the top. I strongly suggest that anyone trying these out reverse your pair of these separators and put those clear flat oblong sections at the bottom of your foot between your toes. For myself, trying them with those clear oblong sections up top, it became painful later in the day, because the thicker layer at the bottom was manipulating my toes in ways they did not like. I do much better with those clear, oblong sections at the bottom of my toes/feet. It looks/feels kind of awkward at first, but feels a lot better in the long run.Try them both ways to see what’s better for your feet.

I'm not going to tell you that they are totally comfortable, but my pain was relieved and I'm no ...
Two months ago I broke my ring (fourth) toe (ouch!). Of course, I buddy taped the toe so it could heal, but because this foot has Morton's neuroma, the taping caused it to flare up. Desperate to find something to stop the constant pain/burning/tingling, I purchased these toe separators just to give them a try. Amazingly, they have actually helped! I'm not going to tell you that they are totally comfortable, but my pain was relieved and I'm no longer limping and my foot is healing better now that it's more aligned. Most spacers are far too wide and these are thin enough and flexible enough to place between my toes, put on socks, and wear with shoes. I trimmed a bit of the spacer between my fourth and fifth toe (ring/small) with scissors because it was too wide, but overall these things work! The separators don't come with instructions, but you can figure it out quick enough. If you're in pain (especially if you have Morton's neuroma or other nerve pain in your feet), I highly recommend you try these.
