I bought this knife earlier this year because I have been processing my own game for the last two years and thought this might help speed up the skinning process. I've never owned or used a skinning knife before. For a low priced knife, I was pleasantly surprised. It has a nice look to it and the handle is very comfortable. The case is very functional as well. It's nice that you can put it on your belt, but I just throw it in a zippered pocket in my harness pack. This knife is not just good for skinning! I used it to quarter my whole elk this year(I was too lazy to go back to camp to get the rest of my knives). It worked amazingly! Cutting out the backstraps and tenderloins- not a problem! The gut hook is a nice addition too. It works very well, just isn't as easy to sharpen when needed. All in all, you can't go wrong with this knife. It's a great addition to any hunters gear.
