This is my all time favorite watercolor paper, it’s durable and color lift reasonably well.. I do a lot of wet on wet painting, with watercolor, so I tape the edges all the way around the block, so it doesn’t buckle or pull away from the block as easy.When I first started out painting 25 years ago I got a cheap paper and cheap paint… I turned right around and went to the store and got a Arches Watercolor paper and Windsor Newton watercolor paint, it definitely pays to buy quality materials, if you can afford them, but there not cheap. I highly recommend this paper.

Terrific quality , size selection and more . Get some and get going . Good tools help the job is the old adage and this paper is good tools .

This brand is considered by many to be the best brand for watercolors. I would say it is in the top two. This brand has been used to print French money. A great choice.

Please be aware that the first page is just a cover. Paper is wonderful as usual for Arches paper.

The most beautiful paper made for the watercolor artist. 100% cotton rag and uniform surface texture. I will not use anything else for my artwork.

Sorry, jumped the gun on this one, and I can’t delete my old review! Please can someone from Amazon delete this for me. Thank you so much! The paper isn’t black, at all, just on the cover sheet. I feel very silly, and apologise for leaving such a catty review! The paper is very nice. That will teach me to wait until I have all the facts, in the future... !

Although expensive for such a small pad, I thought I'd give it a go, I did find it to be very good takes water colour well, dip pen and ink also good and it should be for the price, I would like to buy the large pads that they have, but that is just to expensive over a £100 for 20 sweets. Maybe one day all in all very good paper. Just to much money

took a little while to arrive - but that is more being used to next day delivery than fault of the seller. Lovely paper and sealed on the edges so no more taping. Note, the top sheet is protected by a piece of black card - so don't panic when you open it and think you've ordered black paper by accident!

Image looks bigger didn't realise size . Lovely stunning archers paper the best small tho. Alot reviews on here don't actually realise it's black glue all way around and the first page is black u have to take off first sheet n then u see the white sheets 😀

Arches Rough is the best paper for the kind of painting i do. I rarely paint larger than 1/2 imperial, so I thought I would try these ready-use pads. Not disappointed. It's up to snuff as expected. Worth the extra for the convenience. and takes up less space than the full sheets I normally buy, for not much less in money!
