Stopped working
Returned the first one after a month and got a free replacement. After a year, the second now won't work because it causes an error saying the all USB devices are disabled because they are drawing too much power, even when nothing is plugged into it. Disappointed.

Did everything it's supposed to at first; then it didn't. Support was good at first then it wasn't.
I initially gave it 4 stars. Here's my original review.What I like about it:It's easy to use.It just works.Very good customer service. I had a problem with the HDMI port being a little loose on the first one I received. If the HDMI cable got jostled, as when moving the laptop around, I would lose video briefly. Sometimes I lost it until I disconnected and reconnected the cable. I contacted the company and got a response within a day. They immediately offered to send a replacement. I would give their service 5 stars.What I dislike about it:The blue light is annoyingly bright in a dark room. I'm often up before the sun, using the computer in a dark room. The light on this unit is so bright it's distracting. When I put a piece of black tape over it it wouldn't stay (see next comment). If you're not one to use the computer in the dark then the blue light wouldn't be noticeable.It gets pretty hot when using the HDMI port. I wouldn't particularly care except it's hot enough that the black tape I put over the annoying blue light wouldn't stay.I knocked off 1/2 star for getting hot and 1/2 star for the bright light. I've seen other brands of this same type of item that don't get very hot and that don't have a really bright light. I just wish I'd seen one before buying this one.Bottom line - if you don't care about the bright light then I recommend this product.Edit 3/19/19I received the replacement and so far the HDMI port is holding well. I did have a problem with the network port not working once but that hasn't happened again. I don't know if there's a loose connection, if I didn't have the cable in tight, or what. I'm confident that if it fails again the company will replace it promptly.As for the blue light, the new unit has black sides instead of white and the light is much less bright. Looking back at the product pictures I see that some of the ones have a white cord and white sides and some have a black cord and black sides. I don't see a way to choose which you get.[edit 7/15]I've changed my rating to 1 star. The network port on the replacement unit stopped working completely. I've been back and forth with Sicotool support and after a month still don't have a replacement. At first they wanted me to send back the defective unit for them to evaluate before sending a replacement. They said they would reimburse my shipping cost from the US to China, which would be $35. Unwilling to risk them not following through on that promise I asked for a US address. It took several days to get any reply but that didn't include an address. Eventually I was told the replacement had been arranged for. I asked about returning the defective one and after waiting another several days was told that wouldn't be necessary. It's been a month since the replacement supposedly shipped and I don't have it. I'm not holding my breath. I would definitely not recommend this product or this company. Their customer service was very good at first but now I'm just getting the runaround.Update 7/24Still don't have the replacement. Sicotool support is still very slow to respond, still saying the replacement has been arranged, still not saying when it shipped or when I should expect it. I bought a different dongle on Prime Day. I consider the Sicotool one to be $50 down the drain. I absolutely wouldn't recommend this product or anything else from this company.Update 8/6On July 24 Sicotool support said a new one would arrive in about 5 days. It's now Aug. 6 and no replacement. They're just making stuff up now.

Works as expected, but gets VERY hot
Works very well as a my USB hub, Ethernet port and HDMI output. Gets very hot though. Not "warm-to the touch hot", but at levels of "I can't hold this for more than a minute"-hot. If I have it plugged in, I would not leave it on a flammable surface unattended.

Logical and clean, but a dead port upon arrival
The MicroSD port was dead upon arrival, the full size SD worked with the adapter. The remaining ports are logical, a very nice finish compared to the space grey macbook pro. We will not reorder the same manufacturer, a poor first impression is a lasting imprint. Daniel

Doesn't burn out, perfect for a MBP 2017 Touchbar
I have a 15" 2017 Mac Book Pro with Touchbar. This is the only USB-C hub that includes ethernet and 4K HDMI that hasn't burnt out on me. If you've had 4 other USB-C hubs like I have you will end up liking this one because it doesn't burn out like the other ones. I don't know what's different about this USB-C Hub, but it takes the power from the Apple USB-C power adapter and transfers it just fine. It's great to have one USB-C to connect when I put my laptop down on my desk. If you're looking for a compatible USB-C Hub for a MBP, this is the one.

Problematic Ethernet Port
Ethernet fail to work after 9 days! Everything else works perfectly. Macbook Pro 2017

Worked great for a few months.......
Worked great for a few months. Then I started noticing my SD card slot would intermittently not work. The only way to get it work would be to reboot the whole MacOS laptop. Today my HDMI cable went out. Spending $65 originally was a lot! Now I have a brick. I just emailed customer support. We'll see how long it takes for them to respond.
