Correction to sellers description.... They have been tested to 100+mph ;-) I thought they might not last long but they stick really good. Have them on a smooth surface helmet. Wife gets compliments about her pig tails everywhere we ride. Fyi you might want to put hair bands or what ever their called on them(she put 3 per) because a long day of riding will tangle them up pretty bad. She also put that spray and leave in hair conditioner on them and that helps also.

If you are looking to stand out, this is the item for you. It will get tangled after a ride, but you can braid it, or place bands on the end. It stays on very well and we have never had a problem with them falling off in the year we have owned them.

These are a great idea - my wife has them on her helmet. They hold nicely. Our issue is that the white material around the base were stained. Also- my wife braided them a they look a lot nicer when braided.

but im riding a motorcycle. the pony tails whip around so much taht when i get off the bike they are a tangled mess. I tried braiding them but its just not as cutre that way. i wore them as long as i could because i did love them but they didnt last long

I purchased them for a breast cancer charity ride (I'm a 6 yr survivor). They are fun to wear and got lots of smiles! We tried the using petroleum jelly as per the instructions, but with a tug, they slid around a lot. I cleaned the helmet with alcohol and just attached them with the suction cups and they stayed in place.

These pigtails are fantastic! They stay securely in place, as promised. I braided them (per recommendation) and they look SO CUTE! My favorite thing about these is that they make people smile. So many people that would never have bothered to talk to me in the past now go out of their way to start conversation, because of these unique helmet embellishments. I love bringing that unexpected delight to a stranger's day. I also really like to ensure that I look "girly" when I'm out riding. When other motorists can easily recognize that you are a woman, and not just "some jerk on a bike," you tend to get more respect, more room, and more friendly waves. They also increase visibility. I feel safer when wearing these!
