Recommended Usage: Children Dosage: For children under 2 years old: Not recommended. Mix liquid in 6 to 8 ounces of milk or juice. 2 to 11 years old: 50 mg to 150 mg daily; may be given as a single dose or in divided doses. Max 150 mg per day. Results usually within 12 to 72 hours; reevaluate if ineffective. Warnings: Discontinue if rectal bleeding or no bowel movement occurs.

Review: Also for Adults - I buy this for my wife who has a dementia from a brain disease (HD) that affects her ability to swallow anything but liquids. She also had severe constipation going for a week without a movement, then very hard and dry. Situation is complicated by her refusal to take any medication or even see a physician. After much experimenting, came upon a solution that works involving 7 grams of a well known M---L-x laxative plus 30 ml PediaLax per day. The PediaLax is mixed into nutritional shakes or chocolate milk. She does drink it and does not complain. Best is daily movements but not diarrhea or loose stools. Definitely recommend for anybody who is a caregiver in a similar situation.
