The Civil War (Blast Back!) Paperback – Illustrated, May 31, 2016

My 8 year old son LOVES these Blast Back books! His school library had a few and we quickly were on the search for more! He is learning so much about history and at an age appropriate level. Highly recommended!

This book is packed with bite-size facts that gives a good, quick overview of the Civil War. My 8- and 10-year-olds are both strong readers, and each read it in less than an hour. I'm using this as an introduction to our much more in depth homeschool study of the Civil War. Moreover, they both liked this book and asked me to find more in the series, so it's a win-win for parents and kids.
