The main issues I see with percy is the quality control, since the printed details can look really grainy or faded, like the lining and number. It is easy to use for kids, and the switch is easy to use, even if it is a little jarring. His batteries don't run out too fast, but the motor is weaker in these new vietnam-made models. Overall, I think this percy is very worth it for his price, and I would definitely buy another again!

**Q: Does this work on brio wooden train tracks?**
A: No, it only works on the plastic track.

**Q: Why is Gordon $12 while all the rest are $10?**
A: It's probably due to it's rarity, but I have noticed alot of the prices on some of these toys do go up or down.

**Q: Do they go in reverse?**
A: No they don't go in reverse

**Q: Does this run on the floor without tracks?**
A: Yes, it will run on the floor, although only in a straight line unless you manually turn it.  It does best on hard surfaces like wood, tile or linoleum, although it can run, albeit more slowly, on low pile carpet.  Obviously, it's meant to be run on the track but my child gets a kick out of them "escaping" across the floor from time to time.

Pretty powerful train that goes up our 2.5ft Thomas track without any issues. Much better quality then the trains that only take one AAA battery.
