Mascara, Burt's Bees Lengthens Lashes, 100% Natural Makeup, Classic Black

I have been on a mission to use cleaner ingredients, and figured it made sense to re-examine the mascara I was using. While I loved my previous mascara and have been loyal to it since the start of the pandemic when it was necessary to find products I could rely on getting delivered conveniently, I thought it seemed like it would give me a similar result to my last mascara after reading the reviews. I am so pleased with this mascara and so glad I tried it! It has almost a sweet scent to it also that I really like, but maybe that’s just me. (Maybe it’s the scent of the beeswax? Not sure, but I enjoy it!) It goes on really nicely and can layer well. The first time I used it, I waited too long to apply another coat because something came up while I was applying, so by the time I started to add more layers of mascara, it got a little clumpier than I had hoped. I thought that I remembered reading something in the reviews though about not letting it dry too long if you’re going to add more, and my last mascara also did that (just not as quickly), so I decided to declare user error and try again the next day. The next day, I applied all coats uninterrupted, and it went on so smoothly and beautifully. I really love it! It provides length and thickness for my lashes, which are not very long naturally. I use an eyelash curler (use might be an exaggeration, but I press lightly with an eyelash curling device for a brief moment) and I like the way the mascara can help my lashes curl and fan out nicely. I am also very impressed with how cleanly it washes off with water. I used to need to use a good amount of micellar water to remove the remaining mascara from around my eyes after washing my face. I have really not had to do that with this mascara. It has not run for me after wearing it all day, nor after a workout. I am thoroughly impressed and plan on sticking with this mascara. I love this company and use a good amount of their ingredients, so I am really thrilled with this mascara and wanted to take the time to encourage others to try it! (Note: I have not swam yet while wearing this, but am not sure when I will be swimming while wearing this in my normal life much anyway, so that is not a factor in my review.)Update a few months in: I’ve realized I do not even need to continue using an eyelash curler with this mascara and my eyelashes stay curled just from the mascara. Also, I don’t know if it is the clean formula or no longer needing to use micellar water to remove mascara, but my lashes have grown thicker and longer and my lower lashes have grown in (they used to be very sparse and thin). I have already purchased another one to use when this one runs out!

I was ready to not be impressed! My eyes are very sensitive and I wanted a clean mascara. This is a GREAT product. Went on just as good as a waterproof, plumped my lashes and held curl. It didn’t travel or smudge all day long. Washed off easily the first time. My new mascara!

I’ve been searching for a great mascara that doesn’t bother my sensitive, contact wearing eyes and also doesn’t break the bank. This seems to be it! I’ve been using it for a week now. No irritation, no flaking. The only drawback has been is its waterproofing. It does smudge a little bit compared to other more standard mascaras, which is probably due to the natural, gentle ingredients that also make it great for sensitive eyes. So, overall, I would buy it again.

Nice finish

For a “clean” mascara, it’s decent. I spent too much time researching mascaras, ordered like 5 different clean “natural” mascaras and this was the winner on initial wearing but it hasn’t held up on the day to day. It is a thicker formula, which I appreciate because I like a bolder mascara. However, it does smudge and dries out REALLY fast. I have to do a lot of coats and even then, it’s difficult to get it to the ends of my lashes (I have very long natural lashes). My photo is 4 hours after putting it on. It’s hard to tell in the photo but easier to tell in real life: the ends of the mascara have already worn off and it’s smudged beneath my eyes (though not horribly). I cannot put any on my lower lashes or it smudges too much so that’s just upper lash smudging. Expect to buy a new mascara every 2 months and struggling with it by the end of the first. However, the best thing about this mascara is that it comes off completely with just warm water and a wash cloth or the shower. No rubbing, no leftover raccoon eyes. After I painstakingly apply every morning, I think, “I’ll never use this again!!” but then every night when I remove it, I think it’s not so bad because it comes off SO easily. I’m on tube 3, I think, and I just ordered a different brand. Onward with the hunt!

I’ve been swapping beauty products for healthier, cleaner ingredients. Many mascaras irritate the skin around my eyes.I found this one and it fit the budget while actually working! I am really pleased with how well it works and it doesn’t irritate my skin!It goes on smooth, makes my eyelashes appear more full and is not clumpy. The tube lasts longer than I anticipated and I’ve purchased it more than once. My lash health has actually improved while using this - I’m a big fan of the company and its choice to focus on better ingredients.

Awful. More under my eyes than on them by the end of the day!!

This is one of the few mascaras I can use. Pretty much everything else burns my eyes. This will burn if you get it in your eye, but if you are careful it shouldn't irritate unless you are allergic to an ingredient. It also smells slightly of beeswax, which I love.

Burt’s bees is a natural mascara.It is clean beauty. I have sensitive eyes and have no reaction to this mascara.

Tengo un problema de piel que no me deja vivir en paz y me he dado a la tarea de buscar marcas... digamos lo menos toxicas posible, vi que Burt's Bees es una gran opción y le dí una oportunidad. En cuestión de textura me gusta mucho y me dura bastante a pesar de no ser waterproof. No lloren porque todo mal jajaja pero no me ha causado ninguna reacción en la piel y eso las marcas comerciales no me lo dan. Repito, NO ES A PRUEBA DE AGUA entonces ni siquiera he gastado en desmaquillante porque al lavarme la cara se va todo, otro punto a su favor.

Klasse Produkt, auch fuer sensible Augen

Es fantástico que sea más natural, pero la calidad es pésima. El cepillo araña y se corre con todo, si lloras o te ríes se corre de una manera brutal, nada que ver con las máscaras normales no veganas, que se corren pero de una forma más discreta. La camilla del fisio la dejé que parecía que habían sacado petróleo del agujero de la cara… madre mía…. La tiro.
