WATER SOURCE PP500NL X Pitcher Pump

Perfect addition to my garden and in the event of emergency water without the need for electricity. It worked right away after priming, no problems. Seems heavy and sturdy enough. You'll need your own screws/bolts for mounting the bottom flange. Currently pumping sandy water from my shallow well with some muscle. It's not like turning on the tap people... this takes a little work!I'm beginning to think of it as an exercise machine with benefits while I dream of going off the grid. But then, if I was off the grid, I wouldn't be writing reviews on Amazon. And, Amazon ROCKS - which leaves me torn between longing for pioneer life and modern convenience.Got a shallow well? Wanted to put down a shallow well with a hand pump. The pump looks good, feels solid and got the job done. No issues good product.

A very good friend gave me the idea to put this RED pump in a special place in my garden. I am excited to find just the right place because we are going to use it as a fountain amoung the flowers at the top of a large chunk of a tree. I will plant moss on the tree stump, if the stump needs it. Ad in no time it should look like it has been there naturally for years.

I bought this for a well I was drilling. It didn't work on the well, but that may be my fault, so I hooked it to a rain barrel water catcher. It's sturdy and has great suction (I would advise putting silicone around the gasket when assembling) I only gave it 4 stars since I really wanted it to pump from the well. - "Oh well" (Pun intended)

The pump looks exactly like the picture. I can't say if it works, I am using it as the centerpiece for a barrel fountain with a solar pump. My only complaint is that the pump arrived in it's original product container with no shipping box. For something this heavy I would have thought the pump would be repackaged into a shipping box, but no, it arrived with what looked like a half a roll of shipping tape wrapped around the "store shelf" box with the bottom missing. Still it looks great and does what I want it to do.

I admit that I only wanted the pump to function as a fountain, so I can't address its capability of actually pumping water. That said, I love the pump, its weight and design. If you want to use it as a fountain, be aware that there is a very heavy mechanism inside that had to be removed in order to run a tube through it.

this pump is excellent and already has built in the one way check valve so no need to purchase that . A great value and solid construction.

Compact, built well just perfect for us!
