NEOGEN SQUIRE 180009 Super Whitening Horse Shampoo, 16 oz

Like most, my gray horse identifies as a bay. This is the only stuff that gets him white again. Great for whitening gray horses’ coats and even yellowed tails. More concentrated than other brands so you need less. Works better on my gray than any other brand, horse or human. Only negative is a weird fake blueberry smell, but it’s great stuff.

This is a great product, however as others have said, you might want to dilute it. I use it on my white husky, at a ratio of about 2 tablespoons diluted into about 4 tbsp of puppy shampoo (which does not sting my dog's eyes). I put all this in an empty bottle of shampoo, fill it up halfway with water and shake it up. Then I lather my dog with this mix. I let it stand for five minutes then rinse thoroughly. My dog definitely looks much whiter when I go through this routine once every 1-2 months.I also recently started using it on my own hair. I have very light highlights that tend to yellow over time, and I have found that mixing some of this bluing agent into my own conditioner removes the yellowing and turns my highlights back to their original ashen blonde with great results.

Turned my white dog blue/purple. I rinsed her right away, but, apparently, not fast enough. I had to scrub and scrub and scrub her many times with other shampoo to get most of it out. In the right light, I can still see a blue haze around her. That was a week ago. I am waiting a while to put her through that again to try to get the remaining color out. It also did not remove any stains.

I'm a professional groomer and this is my holy grail whitening shampoo for dogs. I use it sparingly and it whitens like no other (more expensive) products on the market!Try it and you won't be sorry! Just dilute it or you may have purple staining on your white dogs coat.... If you use it in too strong an application.It's that good.... Too powerful a shampoo mixture and your dog will have a purple sheen to its coat. I recommend a dilution of 1:8 and no longer on the coat of 5 minutes to prevent this issue. Your clients will wonder how you got their dog so gleaming white!!! This bottle gas paid for itself in repeat clients who only ask for me, since I have the "magic" that keeps their white dogs so bright white you could see them from space!

Works great on our pony! This makes her look so clean and white, especially her tail! Can be irritating to skin so use with care.

The name of this product has been Gold Nugget, now it is Squire. It is supposed to have a wild berry scent and it does resemble something along that line. the scent does not survive the rinse thank goodness. I used this on her twice letting it soak for the max of 5 mins as per the directions, I did not notice a significant change until the next day when she had dried completely. I would say it lifted her at least 4 levels or shades. I an impressed with this product and it is now part of their grooming routine.
