A Trip to the Bottom of the World with Mouse: Toon Books Level 1

I loved the vibrant and inviting pictures of this book. But I returned the book due the main theme of the story being that the mouse keeps asking to go home. It kind of feels like a book that celebrates complaining and not really enjoying all of the great things around! Like Antarctica! ◡̈

Viva's A TRIP TO THE BOTTOM OF THE WORLD WITH MOUSE is beautifully written and illustrated in an understated but wholly engaging way. One thing about early readers is that children tend not to re-read them. I think Viva's book deftly sidesteps that problem. Lap listeners and early readers will enjoy the first trip through its pages much more than Mouse admits, and will want to return just like Mouse does at the end. The design of the book is unusual and so is the book's respect for its readers. This is not just an early reader book, it's a complete experience.

It's simple, silly, and fun to read. My 6 year old is a great reader, but, like most people, only wants to read things that interest him. These books do that. He loved it so much he read it over and over to every person in the house.

A fun book by up-and-coming writer Frank Viva. I think this would engage most young children, and my grandson does like it. Personally, we enjoyed another TOON book, Jack and the Box, more and found that one just hilarious. My grandson couldn't stop laughing over that one and had someone read it to him many times! This one by Viva is also quite good, but not so laugh-out-loud hysterical.

Good repetition, and a funny story - one of the first books my child read straight through!

My 3 1/2 year old granddaughter loves this book. She loves the mouse asking the same question. She loves the lists of items especially the penguins. Clever book.

I ordered the book for Christmas for my grand son. What a disappointment. The pagination is totally mixed up. Don't waste your time or money on this publisher.

La storia è semplice e carina, a me interessavano soprattutto le illustrazioni e sono pienamente soddisfatta dell'acquisto. Piace molto anche a mio figlio di 4 anni, e mia figlia di 8 lo usa per esercitarsi con l'inglese, essendo abbastanza semplice.i

Les images sont vraiment magnifiques, il n'y a rien à dire. D'ailleurs c'est pour ça que j'ai acheté ce livre et je n'ai pas été déçue. Par contre, je trouve le texte lui-même assez quelconque. Il ne se prête pas facilement à la lecture à voix haute et manque un peu d'intérêt à mon sens. Ma fille apprécie moyennement ce livre, alors que les images sont superbes. Dommage...
