Children's Plastic Miner Hard Hat with Light

The helmet that I received does not look exactly like the picture. The red bezel is black and the black part where it attaches to the helmet is yellow. The reason for the deduction has to do with the design of the harness inside of the helmet. It adjusts from a small child to an adult with a large head but the size selection will not hold because of a poorly designed locking mechanism. You would have to use some kind of tape to hold it in place. Additionally, the harness doesn't lock very well into the helmet.

The light doesn't have an on-off switch. So you have to actually unscrew the front of it and remove a battery in order to turn it off. If your kid is like my kid, he a) doesn't want it turned off, ever, and b) desperately lunges for the batteries as soon as you've removed them. The inner rubber 'net' for the kid's head is supposed to be adjustable but really just falls off. The hat is too big without it.BASICALLY IT'S A DUMB PRODUCT. But it's cheap! And my son won't part with it! He used it to collect candy when he went as a builder for Hallowe'en and that was cute.

Thought this would be awesome for my kid cuz he loves dress up and flashlights when I got this where the batteries go the screws were all out and stripped I had to practically put it together and the on and off switch is completely broken I can get it on but it won't shut back off unless you mess with it for long periods of time. Definitely not what I was expecting and it's sad because I bought this for his birthday. I wish I read more reviews before I bought this

This is the favorite of all the hats I purchased, in other words, the one he reaches for... but within the first hour the bulb stopped working. I was glad there were 2 bulbs included in the order, plus turning it off and on was a mystery... no instructions or explanation for this. If not careful it can stay "on" forever. Batteries were not included, glad I had them. The inner adjustable part leaves something to be desired--it snaps into the hat easily enough, but falls out just as easily.

This is a yellow child's miner hard hat. The only down side is that the light does not stay straight when it's on. You would have to tilt it down. It comes with extra light bulb that is stored inside the case

I needed an inexpensive prop for a class I am teaching. I didn't want to spend a lot, so I ordered this "child" size. The nice things about it are: 1) it fits my normal-sized adult head just great; and 2) if you need it for a child, there is an adjustable strap inside so it can fit people/children with different head sizes.

My 9 year old grandson couldn't decide between being a miner or a minion for Halloween this year. Well, this helmet sealed the deal...he became a mining minion! The light actually worked and the hard hat fit just as advertised. He loved it and he looked adorable!

the ONE thing my 4 year old asked for this year for Christmas was a miners helmet. I was thinking "where in the heck am I going to find THAT!?" Thanks again Amazon! This is adorable and I can't wait to give it to him!
