**Q: Where is this made?**
A: I'm guessing it's manufactured where everything else in the world is made; China, but I can't say for sure. I would email or call Pathfinder and ask them directly. I can tell you it's a terrific and solid piece of gear. I've used it with a gas canister stove, a white gas stove , a wood stove and over an open fire with excellent results. If you do purchase it you might want to also buy a set of kid's plates Ikea sells, that fit perfectly inside that pan. I always stow a couple of those in there with a same-size titanium plate. I use one of those as a cutting board, so I don't scratch up my expensive titanium plate.

**Q: Why does other pathfinder products ship to South Africa but not the skillet?**
A: No effing idea !

**Q: If I am seeing this correctly, the handle folds over the bottom. The lid is just free floating...correct?**
A: Yes ,   the handle folds under . Lid is free to move around

**Q: Would this work with an induction cooktop?**
A: Truly I don't know. The pan is made from stainless steel and it has a thicker bottom, but to be sure check with Self Reliance Outfitters on their website.

This skillet is legit. David knows what these products need and delivers. compact, foldable handle, accompanying stainless steel lid, and the best part is the solid thickness bottom of the skillet. The thickness allows proper heat distribution without burning your food like a proper kitchen skillet. just make sure to properly season this like every other stainless steel skillet. 100% recommend.
