My son bought this bc I don't let him or his sister drink soda very often. The "cola" scent just smells disgusting, like chemicals. Instead of drinking water from a cup that fools your brain into thinking you're drinking cola, you're drinking water from a cup that stinks so bad you get a headache. It has remained under my son's bed, in the box, wrapped in plastic (to hide the stink) since they got it. We tried it once and never touched again.Update: I take the reviews that I write for items that I purchase pretty seriously. I wouldn't ever want to post an untrue or hurtful review just to be a jerk. So, when I gave this cup a 1 star review, it was because it deserved a 1 star review. This cup is expensive, it smells terrible-like chemicals, and gave several people in our home a headache. I understand the concept of odors influencing your sense of taste however, when the odor is a disgusting chemical stink, you aren't going to fool your brain into thinking you're drinking cola. Here's where my new issue with this product and the product's sellers comes in. After my review was posted, I received an email from the sellers ASKING ME TO CHANGE MY STAR RATING SO THAT OTHER PEOPLE WILL STILL BUY THEIR PRODUCT!!! What!?! That's so dishonest and a really crappy way of conducting business! So to reiterate- DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. IT'S A WASTE OF MONEY AND A PIECE OF JUNK. IT TOTALLY DESERVES A 1 STAR RATING I WOULD NEVER EVER CHANGE IT!

Yeah didn’t work... I figured as much though but wanted to try it in hopes that it would help my mom kick her coke habit. Worst $30 I ever spent.

I put carbonated water in it like the instructions say. The 1st few drinks it tastes like an unsweetened cola. Which is good but after a few uses the taste is gone. I’ve hand washed it and it still doesn’t taste like soda.

This is the best way to get an “I hate water” drinking person to drink water. I purchased this cup for my little cousin who doesn’t enjoy water but loves soda. She calls this cup her tricky cup because she thought she was trying soda but really had water in her cup. I loved the packaging as well. I will say that I was concerned that the cup wouldn’t last after serval washes but I’ve washed her cup by hand daily since receiving it and it still works great. There are specific instruction and direction on how to take care of the cup and use the cup & if you follow these directions the cup works. I purchased a Coal flavor to help reduce my consumption of soda and so far it is helping. The cup makes the water taste slightly like soda instead of nothing at all. The lining of the cup emits a slight smell and that is what you are tasting.

Worthless dont buy

The water tasted no different from this cup than it did from a regular cup. This is just an aromatized cup. Before you buy this just go and smell something right before you drink water. See if it changes the taste. You cam try smelling those cola gummy bears or a banana. This if marketed as an innovative invention, but all it is is a cup with an aroma.

These are interesting, but my brain knows better than to be tricked by my nose. Although the flavor is weak like those fruit flavored waters, they'd be good if you have one of those carbonation machines to make the flavor different.

I don’t know about the other flavours but this one didn’t work. I was totally willing to pay that’s obscene amount of it would help me drink water. While it did smell like strong cola syrup, the sweet taste of the cup rim and my sense of smell still weren’t able to pull it off.Returned.
