M6 Cage Nuts & Screws for Server Shelves Cabinets, Lengthened 16mm- Rack Mount Screws (50 Pk)

I like these. Deduct a star for "easy to install" simply because rack screws are not easy to install. These seem much easier than some I've worked with in the past. I don't have a tool to install cage nuts, but these aren't shredding my fingertips. I like the "chrome on black" look myself.

I dunno if I just had crappy cage nuts before, but these are pretty awesome. I can use a pair of pliers to grip the top/bottom of the "cage" and that forces the "fingers" together enough to be able to install into the rack without any special tool. With my old cage nuts it was a colossal battle as I was too cheap to get the proper tool so I would put the lower finger in first then use a jeweler flathead to force the top down and try to get it in the hole... usually resulting in the screwdriver slipping and biting my hand lol.These install super easy and the washers included are far superior to the crapola ones with my last cage nut set.

Works well unless you have a peice of equipment with thick steel in which case the screws may be a bit too short

Used these on a server rack that I purchased from Rosewill.They worked great. Flexible enough to put on and take off without a screwdriver, which is nice. Saves the tips of your fingers from getting cut up.

Good quality. Works as expected.

The only thing I disliked about them is I ordered way too many, now I have a lifetime supply :D

The ears break off on them so the point of them being reusable is pointless. Some were even broke off in the bag so they know this. The metal used is subpar. I have some my old rack ones been used for decades in and out but with these once you mount down the equipment it has to stay forever. If you take it off at least 2 ears are busted off. See my picture for a pile out one bag that busted. I’ll use them and buy other better quality and as I remove stuff I’ll use better. you get what you pay for. I’d also be concerned with heavier equipment if this metal is truly strong enough as they break even in shipping as I say in the bag.
