Karma Baby Slings Organic Sling, Gray, Medium

This sling did not work for me. I was uncomfortable and nearly impossible for me to get my newborn in even after I watched video after video. I did appreciate that it is organic and I'm sure someone more savvy could use this just fine, but from me--it ended up going back.

I wanted a no hassle, easy and quick solution to carry my baby. This sling is excellent! I have tried two other types of carriers but they were not as quick and easy to adjust on the go. My baby loves this sling too; she knows its nap time when the sling comes out.

I could not get my baby situated in this comfortably. I am a petite person, 5'3" and 110 pounds so I ordered the size small and it was either too small or I just couldn't get it on/adjusted properly. Either way when I put my daughter in it she hated it and I was not able to even use it once.

I thought the material would be softer and it would be a good buy..... it isn’t. I wouldn’t waste my money.

The sizing for this is all wrong. I wouldn't purchase this product without trying it on first. I have a short torso, but that doesn't mean that my baby is small... so basically, my baby didn't fit in the sling because the sizing was off. :(

Update: I originally gave it one star, but recently checked the karma baby website and saw that they posted instructional videos. This helps so much. Now that I can actually use it the proper way, my baby likes it. She is 7 months and likes the hip carry position because she can look out but still face me. I like that is that it has a sturdy construction and is made of quality material. Also like that it is made in the USA. The only thing I don't like is that it puts all the weight on one shoulder which can hurt after a while, but that is to be expected of all slings (not just this brand). As for size, I am between a small and medium in clothes but usually wear small, so I got the small sling. I am 5-3, almost 130lbs and have a narrow muscular build. The small fits my body size/type perfect. Overall Karmababy makes a quality sling that is true to size.------------I wanted something simple without a bunch of hooks snaps and buckles (like my other baby carrier). This seemed like the answer. However, for a simple product it is quite confusing if you never used a sling before. The instructions are too vague and the pictures with the instructions are not that helpful either. For example, the picture of the cradle carry in the instruction booklet looks exactly like the hip carry, and the instructions never mention where the pocket or padding needs to be positioned on the body before placing the baby in. I went to the Karma Baby website and the instructions there were just as confusing. Other baby carrier brands have instructional videos posted on their websites and youtube. If Karma Baby could provide better instructions, perhaps I could actually use the sling and write a better review. As of now, I tried using it once but my baby cries and hates it, perhaps because I am using it wrong? Unfortuneately their lacking instructions make it impossible for me to know.

My newborn loves the sling. When he fusses I put him in here and he falls right asleep, EVERYTIME! However if you plan on going out somewhere with your baby in it or plan on getting some housework done it will wear you out. My shoulders start to hurt about 30-45 min into wearing it and thats with a newborn! I can't even imagine when he gets to be a couple months old. My husband uses this on him too but I'm sure men can tolerate the strain more then women, or it could just be that im still exhausted from the pregnancy/labor, who knows... Otherwise amazing for soothing your baby. They love the closeness and warmth of your body.
