A huge disappointment
Don't waste your money on this. It is much smaller than I thought it was going to be. And the glass is very thin I feel like it will break easily. The strainer lid does not sit snug in the top. I read that in some other reviews but didn't think it was a big deal until I started using it and realized how annoying it was. The shape is odd so it takes up a lot of room in the refrigerator. I would have returned it but my husband already used it. We had been in the market for a large glass heat resistant pitcher for a while but I guess we have to keep on looking.

Clean simple design for a large volume pitcher
The simple design is very appealing. The metal lid with silicone gasket works well, even pouring liquid from either opening in the lid. I have only used this for cold drinks, and holding the cold handle is still comfortable in the hand.12/4/2019 update: a few weeks shy of two years, I bumped this pitcher against the edge of my stainless steel sink and put a hairline fracture in the pitcher. I was mixing a cold beverage that was bright red in color, that seeped out onto my white counter. Up until the point that I cracked this pitcher, I was very pleased with this pitcher.

Big and really pretty! And so useful!
Big and really pretty! Has so many uses. Can be used right on the stove! I can boil water, brew tea and when it cools down I can put it right in the fridge for iced tea. I can make simple syrup then mix up a drink in the same vessel. I just may buy more!

Questionable capacity and poorly fitting lid
Seems to hold less than 80oz, but have not confirmed that. Lid fits very loosely and falls off when pouring.

We use it every day!
We looked high and low for a large heat resistant glass picture for making hot beverages and nice enough to serve. Our only complaint is we wish it was a little larger, but it is so pretty, and works so well for our purposes.

Nice decanter but the lid was broken when we opened the box. I don't really need a lid so I didn't bother to return it.
