I can't believe I'm the first reviewer. What a great blanket!I kind of have a thing for textiles and blankets, which is maybe a weird thing for a dude to admit but I don't care. I love Pendleton mills, I love alpaca, and I love cashmere. This is a large, very soft cashmere throw with an interesting grey and natural/white herringbone weave that would look great in all kinds of interiors from mid century and industrial, to farmhouse or western. I wouldn't call it "thick" exactly, especially compared to some of my more rustic pendleton pieces, though I wouldn't call it thin either, and given the size of the piece you can fold it over several times to achieve the thickness you desire. It drapes beautifully.There are several different weaves offered from the same company, with what looks to be the same yarn here on amazon. I really like the understated, utilitarian look of all of them and had a tough time choosing this one. All in all I'm super pleased at the price I paid. I've seen lesser quality cashmere go for twice the price.If there's a downside, its that the piece had a very slight off gassing smell from the plastic packaging when initially unwrapped. I hung it up outside for an hour or two and it was gone. Second potential downside- It's very delicate. My dog made her self a bed in this blanket when I wasn't looking and snagged it. Also, it tends to crease a bit.

After light use the throw is pilling and looks terrible. The product is very dark and shows lint a lot.

I am a dedicated devotee of NATURAL FIBERS. While I have only had this on as a shawl for less than 30 minutes, I’m slightly impressed with how light and warm it is, and breathable...also the hand of it is so very sharp and crisp for hand woven cashmere in a herringbone pattern. I am actually very impressed. It is so easy to be fooled by as of yet some new and unnamed plastic polymer acrylic nightmare passing for yet another eon honored natural fabric, we shall see...quite honestly, if this is truly 100% cashmere? We are all foolish for not buying every single one of these blanket throws we can possibly afford. They are lovely, longer than a standard throw, Thank You Divine Muse for telling the weaver 68“ or 72“ is just NEVER long enough. As a very tall woman, this is perfect to use as a lovely, warm and drape the shoulders-Type shawl, out for an evening walk to dinner or the theatre. I adore it, and have just ordered three more!

Such a soft, beautiful throw. It's thin, but I can see it being very warm but breathable.I only gave it four stars because it had a slight odor to it. I've put it outside to off-gas since I bought it for my toddler's bed. I can't speak yet on how it stands up to wear and tear. It may not last more than a season with a toddler. I can see it would easily snag if it was used by anyone except an adult.

This throw is pleasing me a lot. It is so silky soft and lightweight, but very warm. I bought it for travel. I am always cold in the motel. When I got home, our hot August weather changed and I was cold at night. I got the new throw and spread it over the top sheet and went to sleep, warm but not overwhelmed by blanket weight. I have ordered the full size to use permanently on my bed.

Just got it today and I absolutely loved it!!! I have extra sensitive skin and need blanket(wool) to be soft. This is it!!! Great buy! So light and soft I definitely will travel with this. My new security blanket. I just order another

Very soft very warm very lightweight and it is a great guy to have in the summertime and it's good for some of the Fall time as well to keep you warm

If you’re looking for something to take the chill off, it’s perfect, if you want to keep warm however it’s very thin and light and you might want something heavier, a wool cashmere mix perhaps.
