Breaks after 3 weeks
I went through the touble to take apart the machine and replace this part. It broke after 3 weeks. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and exchanged it. The second one also broke after 3 weeks. Each time it was the metal rod that turns the pump that snapped. It is obviously very poorly made.This part should last 5-7 years. This is aggravating and was a huge time sink.I broke down and ordered the part from sears parts direct. I am sticking with the genuine LG parts from now on. It was not worth it; to go through the trouble of taking the machine apart for something that is going to break in three weeks.I bet they bank on people not bothering to return or ask for a refund if the part lasts almost a month.

WARNING & ADVICE
Worked like a charm - ONCE the correct pump was obtained.DO NOT, NOT, NOT use the "model type" compatibility feature - it is wrong.Call your local applicance repair & ask for the model number.Lesson Learned for me.
