Takes too long to get a reading!
All grain brewers, stay away!!! Sure, this thermometer will give you an accurate reading, if you don't mind sticking your hand over steaming hot water for what seems like an eternity!If you don't like the idea of dripping sweat into your brew, do not buy this.

Garbage
It came with a dead battery. I go to open it to replace it & the screws are stripped. I get it open and the battery isn’t really meant to be replaced, you have to bend metal to swap it out. Replace battery - won’t stay on. Click-startup-display-dead. Not even worth the effort to send it back. So annoyed.
