Very convenient hat, even though I ended up never using the face-protection piece and can hardly imagine doing so because of the amount of heat this contraption generates. Otherwise, it's very good. The visor is much longer than in almost any other hat, so it covers your face much better. And still, the visor is sturdy, does not start to flop, and survives numerous washes. The fabric piece that covers your neck snaps on and off as needed; I never had problems with the snaps. The only downside is the fabric -- it has a strong plasticky feel, kind of slippery and not soft. Most of these hats are made of synthetic fabrics, but this one feels more plastic than others. Some of my family members are refusing to wear it because it makes them feel like they are wearing a plastic bag.

Bought this hat for fishing and floating in the lake to keep the sun off my head and the bugs from divebombing my head. I don’t use the face mask part because it’s not needed and it makes the hat really hot. Overall I like the hat and it does what it needs to. I really like the vented panels on top and the fact that the side flaps can snap together behind the hat to keep them from flapping in the wind while still covering the ears and back of the neck. The long bill keeps the sun out of my face. I docked a star because the chin strap is really thin, the slider doesn’t always keep the strap secure under my chin. Also the connectors that attach the strap to the hat are tiny and made of plastic, so there is a small worry that they might snap under strong wind conditions.

This is a great hat! It is lightweight and fits a smaller woman. I have small hat size, and this can adjust to fit me. I especaiily like the fact that the face-mask can be easily removed and washed - and dries quickly. I walk on the beach every morning, and need sun protection, as my skin is not compatible with sunscreen- even those made for sensitive skin. This hat provides great protection and is comfortable to wear in hot, humid weather.*This is an honest review. No discounts or promotions were given for my review.

I purchased the hat for golf and I have worn it for about two weeks. I really like the sun protection on my face and neck, however, I am going through a stage of adjusting my golf swing and I find the hat distracting. I hope to get through this stage and go back to wearing the hat all the time.

Can’t play tennis without these hats . Too bad they don’t have more colors, I bought most of them!! Would love the white version but they don’t have it

This is perfect for keeping the sun off my face and neck which is critical since I'm getting the blue light treatment. When I saw this product I thought it would be the perfect solution and it is! Great fit and is just as depicted.

I burn very easily, even with sunscreen and this hat covered my head, neck and most of my face when snapped up. It's light weigh and was just what I needed to be able to enjoy a Caribbean cruise without burning.
