This is a great product to help me with the knee slide after knee replacement. It is very hard to do the exercise without it. You can control the action and the pull on each stroke so you don't hurt yourself!!

I ordered this because i had total knee replacement . Achieving greater flexion quickly is so important after this surgery. The device is plastic and rope-but you put your foot in the device and pull your foot towards you with the handles to increase the flexion of the knee. It is a very simple design. It was expensive for what it is, and you could construct something similar for less money, but i wanted something easy to use. My home health PT had never seen one-and was impressed how much more flexion I was able to get in my knee by slow gentle continuous pressure by myself. It also slides easily on any fabric- (usually doing in bed post knee replacement). I got more flexion doing the pull myself than the. PT could forcing the flexion which is obviously more painful. I gave it 4 stars because of the price, but i figured if you divide that by the number of knees my husband and I will have it’s not so bad.

If you’re having knee replacement surgery, this knee sled is the best thing to buy for your recovery. Even my PT specialist recommended and will inform others to buy.

I purchased this soon after my knee replacement in early November. Was ahead of the expected plan. This really worked. However, my brain went into overdrive and convinced me that it was overpriced so I returned it and started the process of trying out other devices only to find them inarguably inferior. Between Christmas and New Years I ended up with pneumonia and was bedridden beyond my objections and lost so much ROM. I have worked and worked to get it back and will be in Physical Therapy for 6 months. I re-ordered this tonight because I know it to be superior to any other attempts I've had access to in recovering my flexion. It is overpriced but I doubt that's going to change anytime soon and I WANT my ROM back so that I can use stairs without bracing myself to use upper body to manage. For me, the cost is justified and I do NOT say that blithely.

The KneeSled is okay. I used it often after having total knee replacement of my right knee. I have small feet so I used those hospital socks to keep my foot stable in the sled. It worked. I’d say to make sure it’s something that you really need before purchasing.

My husband began using it in the hospital and continued once he was discharged. A third physical therapist, who came to our home for follow-up care, was also impressed. Thanks to the KneeSled, my husband regained 90% of his knee’s range of motion in less than a week, two weeks ahead of his doctor’s expectations. For anyone considering this little piece of equipment, we received glowing endorsements from three different physical therapists. It’s easy to adjust, and it gives the user full control over the amount of stretch. My husband feels that pulling the cords with his hands allows for a deeper bend in his knee with less pain than simply sliding his foot on the bed. This gadget may be a bit on the pricey side, but, for us, it’s worth every penny for the role it is playing in my husband’s accelerated recovery. Update: During yesterday's Physical Therapy appointment, my husband's range of motion measured at 100 (that doesn't mean he's finished). Normal range of motion is from 120 to 150 degrees. He is way ahead of schedule. That was at 13 days. At his age, they were not expecting him to be in that range for at long time. Thank you KneeSled!
