Large Genuine Leather Expedition Journal/Sketchbook with Gift Box - 380 Pages - 9" x 12" - Vintage Style - Rich Dark Brown

This is the second one of these I've owned.The first was great. Good paper, good leather, well made.It seems they changed the paper at some point. Now it is very low quality. Even a light use of an eraser damages the paper visibly, which makes it almost useless as a sketch book or as a journal unless you plan on never making a mistake or needing to remove guidelines.Even the leather seems a little less flexible.Absolutely NOT worth the price.

I purchase this with a multi purpose in mind, desktop visual appeal, folder for pending issues and note taking capabilities--it filled all of these.It looks clean and streamlined for desktop and fulfills all the other requirements--what more can I say?

I ordered this for my son's 13th birthday. It's perfect because he is sketching all the time. The quality of the leather and bound pages makes it feel regal. It's definitely special and gift worthy!

Great for presents to others or self. Unlined, thick pulp pages are great for journaling, sketching (acrylic/water or oil based pastel/painting sticks, chalk, pencil, etc.,), notes, etc. Packaged nicely wrapped in a pleasant looking box. Not as small as other journals, but portable. I’m a bit critical of journals (unlined paper/pages, great feel-paper, leather bound, etc.,). I ordered one for myself & another for a talented nephew who uses it for artwork sketches/portraits in acrylic/water and or oil based sticks/pastels, etc. Pages are not perfectly smooth, but have a sturdy feel, thickness, etc. A GREAT over-all natural feel. Bigger than other similar products, but a perfect size for me when traveling, at home, etc. GREAT GIFT IDEA for creative, business or those who write/journal and/or art related projects favoring a more natural pulp page/paper.

The leather binding is great: thick, soft, and sturdy. The pages are the worst quality ever :( they are like thin construction paper.

Bought as a gift for my niece for Christmas. She loved it. I loved it! May get one for myself later. Almost wanted to set it on my desk at work just for the smell. Wonderfully put together. Can't wait to see what she creates!

This journal is amazing. It came in a nice box. It has great quality paper and the leather feels great. This is the kind of journal you keep for ages and you know it's not going to quit. It doesn't feel cheap and the great quality really shows. I love taking it and sketching in the park or just jotting down ideas at work. I will be buying these as gifts for my artist friends. Five stars all around!

This is an absolutely wonderful product! It’s absolutely what I have been looking for. It’s constructed well and will give you years of use. The leather is thick and nicely done, the pages are thick and pliable. This is a product I will purchase again. Thank you Rustic Ridge!
