Looks nice, works well, but not quite loud enough for kitchen when you're working in another room
Good count-up and count-down digital timer. It's not loud enough to get one's attention from another room. So it's not that useful to me for using it in the kitchen to alert me to check on something that's cooking. However, it's just right for my computer desk, and that's where I'm using it. For the kitchen I'm using the Wrenwane brand timer that I also bought on Amazon. It's nice and loud and works well, but regrettably, it doesn't have the count-up/count-down feature which would be VERY helpful. I've had several Radio Shack brand digital timers over the years, and they've nearly always been of good quality, worked well, and lasted for a long time. They also look nice and make it quick and easy to program in the time.

Excellent Timer
Easy to use timer with high and low settings for the alarm. Magnet on back holds the timer on a refrigerator securely. Uses a single AAA battery instead of the button batteries a similar model used in the past. Costlier than many others out there but you get what you pay for.

Old style better except for battery
Liked older model better. What was start button is now clear button. Has caused some burnt food. Buttons smaller than old model. Like that has a common battery size with an easier opening battery cover. Dog left one of my old ones outside in heavy rain. All attempts to dry out over several weeks failed.

It cheats me a second!
generally it works fine, however sometimes when I hit the 'start' button, it cheats me a whole second, which doesn't work for me if I need absolute precise timing
