BeagleBone Black Case -- Clear Acrylic Enclosure

My title is a little misleading but I think the prices of cases for beaglebone black and raspberry pi are more expensive than they should be. This is the least expensive and is why I bought it. The quality of this case is great though. It comes with the protective paper still on the plexi. The directions are helpful but should state not to assemble prior to removing the protective paper. While attempting to dry fit it together one of the ends broke because of such a tight fit. I recommend this product but remove the paper prior to assembly and you'll be much happier with your purchase.

Cute, but fragile. Pieces broke off without very much provocation. The big problem is the board not being attached to the case and freely sliding between slots at the ends. The only things that stop that motion are the little SMD components on the board and it's possible to put a lot of shearing pressure on them if you don't support the other side when plugging things in. I've been careful but am concerned that I'll forget and end up breaking them off. Using 4 screws to mount the board would have been a MUCH better idea. I'm going to get a different case.

Like the other two reviewers, I broke the lower "foot" tab while putting it together. I didn't even get the last bolt installed. While it did finally get put together and it allows access to all the buttons and slots, I can't say I would order a second one.

I liked that the plexiglass pieces came with protective film. Provided you haven't just cut your nails, it should not be too difficult to remove.I had to work to assemble the case, though. The pieces did line up, but it took some effort.I read other reviews saying that the pieces break, but I didn't experience this issue.I liked that the button for booting from SD card was accessible through a hole - good engineering!Perhaps not the best case for the Beaglebone Black, but I am happy with it - it does the job.

This case is cheaply made and mine came with no instructions. You get 6 pieces of plexiglass and a bunch of nuts and bolts. The pieces do not fit together very well. And, like the other reviewer, I had a piece break before I got it together.

When i bought the case it was for 16$, if has since become 14$. aAs I don't live in USA, there aren't many options from where I can buy such cases.Thus the price does not seem high, and it does the job as i wanted.Thought it must be said, I did not exepct the case to come the way it did. Thought it would be a bit more dust proof (made as one unit so that no dust goes in), but since its to be assembled with nuts and screws there are places where dust can get in. Still im happy with the outcome... so far.Unlike the other reviews I did not have any problem putting this together, however my product came without Instructions. Thankfully its not hard to figure out how to put it together. And if you do it carefully enough it doesnt break.Its been a few hours since I have put the case together, so dont have any real world usage yet, but so far its a decent case.The only other issue (besides no instructions) I have with this case is that the Beagle Bone doesnt stay 100% stationary, it shifts ever so slightly in the case. And that can be a bit annoying, but its not a deal breaker.
