waste of time and money
Sorry Zero stars is not an option. Where to start? No batteries in pkg, had to go buy some. 38/9mm bushing too small. All rubber bushing have 4 slits so they can expand, they are not splitting/failing as in reviews on similar products. The end where the bushing attaches is not drilled/tapped deep enough to allow screw to be tightened enough to hold bushing all the way up on the taper of the sighter shaft. The taper expands the rubber bushing to give snug fit in barrel to hold sighter steady and firmly in barrel(if bushings, sighter, and screws were correct size and made properly; which they are not.). Just screwed screw in until it bottomed and "screwed" 22 cal rubber bushing up screw onto taper of sighter until I got a snug fit in barrel on my 22. Had fired a couple of shots and knew the scope was off just a bit. According to sighter laser it was off a lot. I checked sighter and bushing were snugly in barrel. I rotated sighter in barrel and the laser impact point moved. I removed from rifle and removed bushing. I chucked sighter into a stationary precision drill and and rotating slowly found laser dot to form a slightly over 4" circle at 27'. So much for precision set laser at factory as stated. Laser is held in and apparently centered by 4 set screws in front barrel of sighter instead of being installed in a precision machined seat. There is absolutely no way you can adjust a laser for precision work, ie setting a scope at 50 or 100 yds, using just 4 set screws without machined sleeveing/bushings to accurately fully support the body of the laser. The on/off switch barely works at all as the ramp and point/dimple "click" are not designed well. Easier to remove battery holder than fool with rotating the battery compartment back and forth until you happen to hit it just right and the laser turns off. Just a bit more ramp height and re-positioned detent and switch could have worked well. Leave this item alone it is a very poorly executed design. The concept is viable, but I do not know if similar products are designed and built any better.

The packaging was nice and looked very professional
I received this product with no issues at all. The packaging was nice and looked very professional. The instructions are very simple and easy to set up. The issues that have are that I could not get it to work with any of my rifles. The bore sight comes with 4 different rubber adapters that are suppose to fit bores from .22 to .50 cal. I first tried to sight in my .50 muzzle loader. I tried the adapter that the instructions calls for. The issue was that the laser would not fit snug into the barrel. Then I attempted to using the other rubber adapters in combination with the one that was called for. So I then gave up on trying to sight in my muzzle loader and moved to my .243 cal. rifle. After several tries I was unable to sight it in either. The issue with was that once I got an adapter to get in the barrel it got stuck coming out. Now all in all the bore sight is very nice I just cant get it to fit my guns right. I am going to make some modifications and come up with a my own adapters.I was given this product at a discount for my unbiased review.

Missing items
Don't mind not having batteries included, but I do mind that the items listed on the instructions are not there. I was missing the batteries as stated before and two Allen wrenches, may change review once I actually test the product.

Great basic sighter for the money.
For the price, this is a great bore sighter. The fact that I can sight multiple calibers with one device is fantastic. For someone like myself who only needs to sight in a gun occasionally, this is all I need. Is this for a gunsmith - no. For someone like me though it's good enough. The one thing I didn't like was the way the batteries go in and how to turn it on. It's not the best, but like I said, for the money and the fact that I'm not a gunsmith working on 10 guns per day, it's good.I received this product at a discount in exchange for my unbiased review
