Didn't dry and had to remove product to use something else
Had the same problem as another buyer where the lid was extremely tight on the can. After prying it off there was no way a reseal of the can could happen. After applying the product to a wood drawer it didn't dry for 2 days and still not completely. Contacting the company they said I needed to raise the humidity. I live in North Carolina and it was at 80% the day I applied the product. I ended up having to remove the Durabak and use a different product entirely. Disappointing to be out the money since it's not a cheap product

The best coating I have ever used.
What can I say, this stuff is insanely good. I'm not even using it for truck beds. I won't tell you what I'm using it for, because I don't want to let the cat out of the bag. But it's a great coding if you want to keep things from getting damaged. I know how good it works on wood, Steel, Plastics. So far it's been amazing. You'll have to do your own research to find out if it's right for your application. I would have no problem coating my entire vehicle with this stuff, it's tough and well worth the money.

Good material. Went on smooth
Says don’t shake can but make sure you stir it well. Went on very easy and had good coverage. Put 2 coats on the interior side of my Jeep freedom top. It does have more gloss sheen than I expected.

It came with either a defective lid that was forced ...
It came with either a defective lid that was forced into the can with thousands of pounds of pressure, or the coating inside has GLUED the lid to the can. I asked the seller for help TWICE and they simply do not respond.

So far so good. We'll see with the final coats how good it looks and how long it'll last.
The coverage estimates on these are a bit misleading. I think they are saying you can get 60-75 sqft after multiple coats if that makes any sense. I ordered 2 gallons for a diy camping trailer and Durabak called me to say that they only had one gallon left of the UV protective coating (durabak 18) so they sent me a gallon of the indoor and recommended I paint the trailer with that first and then cover it again with the DB18 formula. I was able to paint a 4ft H x 4ft W x 8ft L trailer and the metal frame and only use half a gallon. It is supposed to go on thin and require several coats so I'm hoping that the other half gallon doesn't cure before I can use it. At those dimensions we are looking at 128 sqft of surface minus the openings for doors that I was able to cover with a half a gallon can, plus the trailer itself.I'll edit this review once all coats are on.

it fades
I bought the indoor version of Durabak for the interior of a van. The FAQ says, "Non UV should be fine inside of the van. Fading through windows or when the doors are open is unlikely to cause fading…of course, no guarantees, anything is possible." Fading is not only possible but guaranteed. It faded within a couple of days. Now, instead of a nice light grey color, i am stuck with an ugly faded out beige. Customer service was totally unsympathetic for the misinformation in the FAQs.
