Klecker Knives KKTS207-BRK Stowaway Bit Driver

I've been collecting Klecker stowaway tools to keep with my keys. This stowaway bit-driver, one of my more recent acquisitions, has easily become one of my favorite and most-used of the bunch.Some background: I keep my keys and some other key-sized tools on a key-organizer, previously a DIY device, which more recently I've replaced with a Key-Bar.How it has benefited me: I've found having this particular stowaway tool by Klecker incredibly useful, for loosening or tightening the screws of my key-organizer itself, simply by removing the bit from the driver slot and using it as a screwdriver by hand. That frees me from having to fetch a screwdriver, or to carry a separate screwdriver tool as part of my EDC, which I've done until adding this tool to my key device. As its own screwdriver, the bit works fine, even when I use it with my bare hands, without a driver or workgloves. It fits into, grips and turns the screws of my key holder marvelously.When I'm done with it, I put it back into the driver slot and it feels secure. Thus far it has never felt like it might fall out.Now equipped with the stowaway bit driver, not only is my key-holder more functional, but also I have been freed to discard the separate screwdriver tool from my EDC.Plus, it's flat like a key, unlike most bits that have at least one end that is a Philips-head. It's designed to fit with keys and other flat tools so they don't obstruct each other.As for using the bit driver entirely, while mounted on my key organizer device, that works even better. Note, it is not lockable. Occasionally I have to straighten it when it swivels at the joint post, which is easy to do when needed. Therefore it's not a perfect substitute for a real screwdriver. However, this Klecker tool is EDC (every day carry) portable together with my keys, so it's there when I need it, instead of having to fetch a screwdriver from somewhere.The material of both driver and bit feels strong and sturdy, long-lasting. That seems to be consistent among the Klecker stowaway line of products. Also, like the other Klecker stowaways, it fits perfectly on my key holder.I wish I'd gotten this one sooner.

Pictures do not include a CAP which a user can place on keyhole end to assure that unit will not accidentally come off. You do not have to use the cap. I use the unit on my keyport organizer. Now that means that I will keep the unit ON THE ORGANIZER as I use it, but that is good for me.Appears to be well made. Phillips end provides true three dimensional fit into small or mid-sized phillips screw--not suitable for "micro" applications, such as eye-glass repair. This is a working man's tool. Driver fits securely into keeper, and will not just fall out. I am entirely pleased with this unit. It fills a void which Keyport has not yet addressed. Multiple "stowaway" tools have been found ill suited by users. This is one of the few which has real world value and practicality. Recommended.

Neat little keyring tool for both key ring and Keysmart, also wirks with leatherman tool set of same type.

Fantastic product! Been using it for a while now and I gotta say it's pretty handy. Very well designed and fits great inside a keybar. Highly recommend purchasing if you're on the fence about it.

This fit very nicely into my keysmart rugged. It's very thin, measured almost exact .120 on my micrometer in thickness. (for reference, the schlage key I have measured .091 inches, and the spacers the keysmart came with measure .028 inches each)I just got it, so I can't speak for durability, but it seems to be well made. It does rattle a little bit if you touch the bit, but it's not loud or noisy by any means.Overall, I don't there is much competition for this product - It's an extremely compact flathead and philips screwdriver that you can carry with you daily. It's not as good as a full size screwdrivew, but you wouldn't be carrying a full size screwdriver with you on a daily basis.

Great little tool for very small jobs, any real pressure and you'll actually twist the metal and you won't be able to change bits again and it won't work on a keyport or anything anymore

Nice engineering, seems sturdy and well made. Fits Klecker phone case nice and snug.You can insert the bit perpendicular into the metal sheath for leverage.

Great little hidden tool. Works well. Bit seems to stay in place but easily removed turned around. Wish it felt a tad beefier but I like it.
