Gameboy advance tri-wing screwdriver

I ordered this screwdriver recently and I've already used it on a number of things without having anything strip. I got this one because it looked like it was higher quality than my old screwdriver, which was designed poorly and the metal on it literally flaked off the first time I used it on my Wii to repair the disc holding clamp. I've had no such misfortune with this one, though. I suspect maybe there's variance in batches since there seem to be a few bad reviews of it floating around but mine came in immaculate condition and it's held up to a good amount of torque so far.I'll make sure to post an update if it does strip at some point, but I don't really expect it to. Pretty satisfied overall for the price.

I own 18 official GameCube controllers and I needed to clean and repair a lot of them after years of fun and play. The quality of the screwdriver was very good and each screw came off with ease. I ended up replacing the screws with regular phillips modes so if in the future, I can't find this model, I won't be SOL.Every Nintendo product since the original NES uses the same type of screws and are the same size. I recommend this to anyone who wants to do light surgery to their cartage or controllers.

My Gameboy Advance has been unusable since about 2002. At some point while I was using it, a small piece of plastic not larger than a pencil tip came loose on the inside and became wedged between the power button on the inside. Since that time we had tried several dozen different screw drivers and other methods to get it open with no luck.I finally found this (and had the money to buy it) and purchased it immediately. It took all of 7 minutes once the screwdriver arrived to get it out of the box, open my Gameboy and remove the loose plastic.Now I can finally beat my Zelda game.

I ordered the screwdriver and received it in a short amount of time. The first problem was that it arrived in a thin plastic padded envelope with no packaging (ordered through Amazon but was bought from one of the "sellers"). The biggest problem was the condition of the screwdriver. The handle was dirty and the shaft and tip of the screwdriver had some substance on it that was rust like. The screwdriver didn't cost an arm and a leg but was advertised as new and isn't. You get what you pay for I guess.

I purchased this item on March 25, 2008, and It arived Marched 31, 2008 with standard shipping. It didn't feel very sturdy, but boy did it do its job. I was able to open my Wii that was damaged by my nephew who shoved in 3 too many games at one time. When opening your Wii system keep in mind that there are also phillips head screws that will need to be removed. It was easy to take apart, and put back together, but if you've never messed around with electronics before I would recommend repairing your system through a professional. Preferably one approved by Nintendo. I hope that you find as much sucess as I did with my Tri Wing Screwdriver:)

I love it! What a great product. Not only did it arrive earlier than expected, but it also was very neatly packaged. I really appreciate how good quality this item is. It opened my Wii up and I was able to repair the damage my son did and got it working in no time. Only thing is I did leave out maybe one or two screws but hey what are all those screws for anyways. It seems to have begun stripping a little after the first use, but I think it would last for one or two more projects. I was able to replace the broken Wii U LCD screen for the game pad that my 2 year old stepped on, so I do not regret the purchase at all for this price. The alternate would be have been much, much more costly.

Ordered this as part of changing the laser on the Wii. Arrived in a couple of days. Looks just like the picture. Handle is more substantial than I expected. Driver end is a little soft but no problems if you take your time! Be sure to seat the driver into the screw slots completely, apply pressure, then turn. It will strip out if you let it. Good tool for a specific use. Buy it once and have it forever.
