The particles of cork are tiny, but at least this brand doesn't fall apart or shed those particles when you simply rub them with your hand.

I wanted flat coasters so I could put any size glass on them, without a lip getting in the way. These are flat, haven't fallen apart, and are numerous enough I can spread them around the house. They'll absorb some water, but if you're looking for a coaster to catch water, you might need one with lips to hold the water on the coaster. I wanted something that could absorb a little spill or sweat, and these work great.

These coasters work great. They are very durable and sturdy.

These are no nonsense coasters that get the job done! They pass the slip test (as in, they don't slip - nor does glass, plastic or ceramic when seated atop the coaster), and they protect a table from moisture and extreme heat. I took a star off because, while attractive and generally functional, the cork is a little flimsy after it's heated - and a little heat does get transferred to the surface below the table. Condensation marks and stains are also a longer term problem, as the material itself seems to absorb stains fairly easily without an easy cleanup (other than a scrub - which I'm afraid would damage the cork). Fortunately, there are 12 coasters :-) It's a great value overall!

Made nicely, good thickness but do not absorb. Hopefully with more use the coating will wear off.

Basic cork coasters at a value price

I like how thick they are and they look great too. I also use them under small ceramic house plant pots to help keep them from scratching up the furniture.
