Works great with an over-head rain shower head.
Sturdy, the metal plating so far is holding up well, long enough permit you to stand away from the wall... Nothing much more to say. I highly recommend anyone considering this size pipe, to consider using JB Weld Water Weld epoxy putty to fill the opening in the tile/wall before installing the shower head. This will give strength and support to the fitting and reduce the stress at the threaded joint, and lessen the chance of breakage or leaks, as you will be effectively creating a hard as concrete block under the pipe that will support the weight further out away from the threaded joint. Also highly recommend using both PFFE tape and Plumbers Dope on the threaded to eliminate any leaks at the joint inside the wall.I installed mine by removing the old shower head neck, cleaning the joint from old tape, drying the joint in the wall; wrapping the new shower arm threading with PFFE tape three-four turns on both threaded ends; added a good amount of plumbers dope (liquid thread sealer) and then screwed in the new shower arm until hand tight and in the proper position. I then waited five minutes for the dope and tape to settle into the threads (being overly cautious, this wasn't needed) and then turn the water on full blast, using a flashlight to check the fitting for leaks. After seeing none, I then stopped the open shower arm with my thumb to pressurize the joint, and again checked for leaks. After seeing none two minutes into being pressurized, I turned the water off, mixed the epoxy putty (be sure to wear two layers of gloves when doing this, as you will NEVER get this stuff off of your naked skin), filled the opening in the tile and wall all around the shower arm, pushing extra putty under the shower arm itself, and then put the escutcheon over the opening, and going to bed. The epoxy needs one hour to cure, but I gave it overnight. In the morning, I screwed on the shower head until hand tight, gave it a quarter turn with a wrench further, and I was done.Rewarded myself with a very, VERY relaxing hot rain shower...

Perfect replacement
Great product for the price! It matches Moens flat black perfectly. The threads are precise and are easy to install. It’s a pipe so water flow is as good as the pressure in your plumbing. Would definitely recommend

Quality Shower rod!
Great quality, easy to install. Wanted a little extra room in my shower so I needed to extend the shower head out and this did just that. Perfect upgrade! Water tight seal

Great quality at a reasonable price!
Great product at a very reasonable price. I initially purchased one for about a dollar less and I had to return it because I couldn’t thread the back side in. This went in smoothly and it looks like it’s great quality.
