A smoker without dropping $600 on a grill.
I used this for the first time today and wow! Right out of the box I am impressed with the quality of construction. Holding it in my hand the tube has some good weight making me believe this will hold up for a time. If it doesn't then I'm only out $14.00. I purchased some Texas grill pellets then filled the tube 1 inch from the top. Lighting the pellets took some time but once they took flame I waited the 10 minutes, blew out the flames then placed the tube on top of my grill gates. I placed a 9 pound loin along side the tube then closed the lid. I checked the tube every half hour to make sure it was still going and this baby was smokin'. After about three hours I lit the grill to finish the loin. At this time there was still 1/4 of the pellets left. I kept the tube on the grill while a finished the meat but I believe the smoke would have last a good 4 hours. The results of the loin was a well smoked treat. Everyone enjoyed the meal. I would say the first smoke was a hit and I can not wait to try again. I really want to smoke some cheese!

FAR EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS
The downloadable cookbook was a nice touch. As to did the smoker meet my expectations? You bet. Not only did it meet my expectations, it blew them away. I am using a `16+ year old all stainless gas grill (converted to natural gas) - stainless grill hood, base cabinet, burners, flame tamers, cooking surfaces, work surfaces, firebox, and removable drip pan It came from Costco and was named "The Classic" at that time it was made by Virco, which now is Nexgrill. A great grill with a stainless side burner and rotisserie. I have used it for cooking and smoking everything from rotisserie chicken, burgers, filets, salmon, shrimp, chops, ribs, brisket, pork butt, etc. For the smoking I have used a variety of wood chips, soaked in water I have also stored wood chips in, bourbon,and/or rum which had a nice effect. These would be placed in a grill top smoker about 4"x6" and a between the flame tamers smoker that had a triangular hopper descending from a 12"x4" flip-open top. On a full load in the smaller, I might get 1 1/2 hour. In the larger about 2-3 hours - which meant following up from one smoker to the other .to get a 5 hour smoke time. The Kaduf Pellet Smoker changed all of that. While I have a blow torch, I found it not to be necessary. Using pellets, in the Kaduf smoker they ignite after being placed on the grill surface above a burner after about 10-15 minutes (once ignited, you can turn off thae burner). With about a 3" charge, I get billowing smoke for about 3 hours - which seems to indicate that the 5 hour smoking time to be very conservative. I have not yet tried it with my spirits marinated chips - though some of the on-line reviews indicate chips will work. I am thoroughly delighted with this product - well made and works well beyond the stated claims, in my estimation. I will be ordering another one, just to make sure I have a spare.

Not junk, but not all that great either. See My UPDATE!
Maybe not having a instruction book with mine is the issue I don't know. But I have had better luck using old tuna cans than what this tube smoker did. I got some apple pellets and all it wanted to do was flame up and sure didn't last no 4 hours maybe an hour if that. I tried it with just some plain small hickory chips and liked it much better that way and had no flame up with it. Used it three times now but like I said I had better luck using a recycled empty tuna can than this smoker. Maybe the brand of pellets I got is the issue but at the price of pellets over available wood chips I can't be throwing down that kind of money trying different brands of pellets and having partial used bags of them sitting around.I was using this on a three burner gas grill. I have been grilling for over 50 years now and do know how it's done. Just thought this tube thingwould be a better deal but so far it hasn't been.UPDATE;After trying to work with this thing I have more or less figured it out and it will work and isn't a total nightmare to work with For a gas grill it is a better way to get wood smoke over what I use to do. You will need to dampen the pellets some and for that I use a spray bottle that will spray a pinpoint stream to go into the holes to keep the pellets from burning to fast. but only do so after they have started burning don't do beforehand then try and load it. The only thing I don't like is there is no end piece to help keep the pellets in and would possible slow the burn rate down by not allowing a chimney effect to take place,.If I need to use more than one of these would I order another one? Yes I think I would because after I'd say 30 to 40 uses it has held up real well so I am almost 100% happy with it

This Smoker Tube will change your BBQ life!
I have now used this tube 3 times. In fact, 2 racks of baby back ribs are smoking on my grill right now. It is so simple to use, it creates a ton of smoke and easy so easy to clean up. For those of you who don't want to spend the money on an actual smoker or don't have the space for one. This little cylinder is all you need. I promise you, you won't be disappointed.

Works well with pellets and chips, on both gas and charcoal grills.
This is a very handy device for anyone who does a lot of grilling and smoking. It works well with both pellets and wood chips. Pellets provide a longer burn, but wood chips provide more intense smoke. You can mix these or stack them in the tube to get the type of smoke profile you want. I also use it as the smoke source on my Webber Kettle with great results. You do need to be careful if you move it around on the grill in the presence of food, as it will drop fine ashes. It aslo works well on the gas grill to add just a little smoke flavor when grilling burgers or brats or chicken, or whatever. It doesn't impart a deep smoke flavor on my gas grill because that has a relatively open design, but that mild smoke is actually what my family sometimes wants, so it works well for us.
