Curry Powder 7 oz.

Our local markets are hit and miss — sometimes they stick this and sometimes they don’t. I know it’s a mix of masalas I already have but it’s so nice to have this premixed when I don’t feel like measuring. It’s super mild, not spicy, and adds a nice “homey” feel to a lot of dishes. I love it in munj haak and I’m glad we can always find it here.

I've tried numerous curry powders in the past, including Sharwood's and Sun Brand.Deep curry powder is far superior to any of these.I absolutely love the flavor: spicy but not too hot and not too salty (like Sun Brand).I would highly recommend it to all curry lovers.For the "correct" way to use curry powder, check out the video "Chicken curry for beginners with curry powder" by [email protected]

Love this curry powder! The taste is great and fresh. The smell is just amazing. I'm very happy and use this throughout my weekly meals at home.

If you only want turmeric & cumin then this curry powder is fine. If there is any ground ginger or cinnamon powder in this curry blend then it must be minute amounts because you can't taste them at all. Stay away if you're looking for a more complex flavor.

Remember what 7 oz means when you order this! I paid like $8 and then got this tiny packet that made roughly 4 batches of veggie curry. The flavor is rich and more sort of chicken-y (if that makes sense) than curry I normally use. It was actually very tasty, but I had to add a lot of red pepper to get the spice that I normally want out of curry. It was a little more difficult to incorporate into my broths than other curry powders I've tried...maybe that's on me for not letting it simmer down enough, but if I didn't cook it for a while, it was a bit grainy. Overall, good flavor, poor value for the cost, slightly more difficult to cook with.

I have gotten this before from a local Indian market, but I moved and was so glad to find it on amazon... unfortunately it doesn’t taste the same to me.. not sure if I got an old package, but it didn’t taste the same as the ones I had before!
