Genuine Henkel Loctite 406 Super Glue - Instant Adhesive - 20g (0.70 Oz) - Ideal for use on Plastic & Rubber

This review is for ASIN ‏ : ‎ B072Q7CFYS. Mine shipped from the LEX2 (Lexington, KY) fulfillment center. It is marked as being manufactured in India, which is clearly stated in the product details (Manufacturer ‏ : ‎ Henkel India Pvt. Ltd.) I ordered this version of the Loctite 406 glue when my previous order for ASIN ‏ : ‎ B071WG6DVB disappeared during shipping. The label appears genuine, and I have no reason to believe that the amount in the bottle is less than the stated amount. It is a little disconcerting that the last digit of the date code has been rubbed off. If you squint a bit, it looks like it was a "2". Nevertheless, the liquid appears very light and moves easily, so all appears to be in good working order. The directions on the bottle indicate that it should be kept in the refrigerator until opened, and NOT returned to the refrigerator after opening. For this reason, I have not opened it yet since it appears that it may have a short shelf life after opening. I plan on using it to glue TPU to Acrylic, and carbon fiber-filled nylon pieces to each other, so I want to get all the parts printed before opening the bottle. I will update this review with the results. Those of you who are nervous (as I was) about getting counterfeit product can most likely buy this particular listing (ASIN ‏ : ‎ B072Q7CFYS) with confidence.

I was happy enough to get supposedly the last available bottle at the time, and I had ordered a bottle before that one that never arrived...and it seemed to work fine.....but honestly I could really have been given any product. The seller had taped some other label all over it which made the original labels unable to be seen. I couldn't peel off the seller's labels in order to see the original ones. I just kind of trusted it was the right thing as the bottle seemed to be the right shape. I then had to google to find the directions for use. So kind of a mediocre experience and can't even say for sure that I was using the same glue. I never read the earlier reviews because this was a product I was specifically told to use. Wish I had because I saw so many suspicious reviews about the actual seller and people getting bottles half full. Hmm....does make me wonder.

So, for context, I customize high-end action figures, which usually come with swapable parts like different boots, hands etc. I needed to replace a ball joint socket in the figure’s boots. Every off the shelf superglue & cement I tried either wouldn’t even hold (like PlasticWeld cement) or wasn’t strong enough to withstand multiple boot swaps (like you standard loctite/gorilla glue) and the socket would eventually come out of the boot. Thanks to this glue, I no longer have that problem! This seems to have really good strength so far. I think the socket joint is in there to stay now! Thankfully, while this glue isn’t a gel which gives you really good control, it’s not super watery either where it would just drop. There’s enough control if you’re careful enough. I would definitely give this a try if you’re having some serious trouble getting glue to work with plastic.

This works great with PLA and dangerously great wit TPU. A drop will take fractions of a second and bond the TPU. Literally turned 2 pieces of TPU into 1 piece.

This is great glue and worked perfect for what I used it on, although when I opened the box it looked like it had already been used and it was only half full

Great super glue. I used it to repair a click floating floor that was separating at the short side. Put a little of this, slid it back and presto no more problem. Good product

I purchased this for a couple things im working on that involve rubber and synthetics and required a deeper penetration of the glue. It has worked flawlessly in all applications and I've expanded its use to other areas - fishing knots for example. Because it's much thinner than other cyanoacrylates, it gets far better material penetration. But be aware, while this is chemically analagous to "Super Glue" or "Krazy Glue", the margin for error is considerably smaller than the generic brands, and the early bond strength (1-2 seconds) is much, much greater. Used properly for the right application, this is as good as it gets, but exercise caution.

The glue works great. Comes out at a larger level than I always need.
