The Franklin Sports GLOMAX Foosball packs all the fun of a larger foosball game into a compact, portable game that will bring hours of fun. The on-board scoring system, end goal ball return, (6) blue and (6) green players make you feel like you are right in the action. The game includes (2) competition foosballs and is easy assembly. GLOMAX comes to life when the lights go out. . . . watch as parts of the game glow in the dark and add another level of competition. Ages 6+. Size: 20" x 12" x 3. 8"

Don’t turn off the lights
While the box states “Ready to play in minutes”, it doesn’t say how many minutes. I don’t recommend attempting assembly with an anxious 5 year old looking on as they may hear some words you’d prefer they not repeat. The biggest frustration is the tiny holes drilled in the sides don’t exactly align with the holes in the corner pieces, and require significant force to drive the miniature screws through the plastic (don’t even attempt this with the included toy screwdriver).Once assembled, it’s a fun toy for children inexperienced with actual foosball. There are only four rows of three players each on the field, resulting in the offensive row facing away from the center line. I recommend having the scoring player serving to their defensive side. It’s light weight, so you can’t be too aggressive with it but the handles move freely and it can be a fun game. The board isn’t completely level, so the ball can veer to one side, and if you score with too much vigor, the ball can bounce back out of the goal.As for glow in the dark: you can see the lines on the board and a very faint glow from the glean players - if it is completely dark. However, since the ball doesn’t glow, actually playing in the dark requires Jedi level skills in The Force. For the price, it’s actually a pretty fun toy for kids or as a novelty for adults, once you get past the annoying assembly.

Would have been better if assembly was less awkward.
The idea of a small, table top game is good. The color scheme is interesting. The glow in the dark feature is one I haven’t been able to experience. And the assembly process is frustrating. Plastic parts had to be trimmed, holes don’t line up or are not drilled all the way through. You find yourself doing the job the Franklin should have bothered to finish.Having said that, once you have it up and running it is fun for the kids. I need to have activities for my grandchildren that don’t involve TV, computers, or tablets and this one fits the bill. The size makes it easy to store. Other than the two balls, there aren’t small parts to keep track of since everything else is one piece.I do suggest putting down that puffy, rubbery material you put under rugs so they won’t slip. Kids get sort of enthusiastic and the game moves around making it uncomfortable and distracting for the players and possibly damaging to your table.

Smaller....and also better than I thought....
This set is not really 20" as they are including the goal box - playing field is more like 15-3/5 x 10-3/4. That said, it's actually a lot of fun and as long as you don't get too vigorous, does a relatively good job at giving you a decent Foosball experience.I have played Foosball on the regular full-size tables, and this is clearly a downsized experience, but for most kids, it's a great way to start.I highly recommend putting a global of blue-tack under each foot to keep this secure on whatever surface you play on. The set has a decent weight, but it can be really annoying for the table to shift before a shot.I dinged it a star because of some minor flaws - one of the players wasn't aligned to the others on his bar, also there was a lot of molding flash on one of the balls that had to be trimmed.

fun but small
This is a pretty fun mini foosball game. The board seems level and there are almost no dead zones so the game keeps moving. In pitch dark, the players, lines and ball do glow a little, but I have no idea why anyone would want to play in the dark so this is a weird feature to me. The kids have had some fun. I did not have fun putting it together though. It comes with teeny tiny screws and a teeny tiny screwdriver. The sides came together without too much trouble, but there are no pre-drilled holes for the goals. That required a lot of pressure on the teeny tiny screwdriver and was really annoying. Even worse, there was tape wrapped around the holes on the poles that I had to peel off before attaching the handles. Then trying to get those holes lined up was awful. Four stars for the toy, zero for assembly.

very faint glow in the dark & misaligned parts **photos**
My kids had the patience to stick with installing this small foosball table (pic 01). Because it took hours for them to finish. And they couldn't install the 2 scoreboards due to its misaligned holes & too-short screws (see pic 02). In addition, the manual was missing some steps, some of the holes were misaligned or non-existent, and the screws & screwdriver were very small. I helped them towards the end and even I got frustrated with its poor quality. And its glow-in-the-dark parts were very disappointing (pic 03). Only the white markings on the bottom piece glowed in the dark very faintly. But definitely not the maximum glow this product seemed to tout. Not even close. I tried to take a picture of it and it wouldn't even show up on my camera. It was just dark. Good thing my kids actually had some fun playing with this mini-foosball table. It doesn't make up for its major flaws though.Minimally recommended.

Let's just say a handheld drill was involved...
Assembly was a nightmare, ok that is a bit dramatic but it was super frustrating. The included screwdriver is a joke, and after realizing the holes do not align we had to bust out the drill. This really should come mostly assembled and not in a bazillion misaligned parts. I've had composite furniture take less effort...Once it was put together it was fun, small but fun. The glow in the dark bit is gimmicky and really adds nothing. All in all though this set was a hit with the kids and kinda makes you want a full size one, oh to have a rec room. This would be a solid 4 stars based off of fun factor, if not for the awful assembly.

Makes me want a large foosball table
Throw out the screwdriver they send with this table to put it together and grab yourself a regular sized screwdriver. Also make sure to have a hole punch handy because this table is frustrating to put together. The plastic edging is actually rather sturdy and a few times I thought I was going to crack it but it held fine. Once I got the table together I played with my two year old who seemed to be having fun with spinning the little men. It seems rather sturdy and the kids enjoy it but once I started playing it just made me yearn for a regular size foosball table like we played back in college at the dorms.
