Thomas Pet Brewer’s Yeast with Garlic Flavoring - Brewer’s Yeast for Dogs, Horses, & Birds - (5 Pounds, Powder)

This is going to be very long I am so happy!!!!My horse is very very sensitive to flies and those knats that eat up the horses from the belly and ears. She is so sensitive to the point where with a few bites she will itch her skin tills she bleeds. The flies just love her. I can go out there and she will have around 30 flies (in the winter) just on her face, 20 flies if she has fly spray on. On top of that she has really dry flakey skin. I have spent a lot of money trying many horse related garlic powers, skin care, etc. None of which she liked to eat, I would have to trick her into eating them and none of these past products worked on her, no results, (she was still covered in flies). I have been feeding her this product mixed with her senior feed for about 2 weeks now and already see a big difference. I stopped using fly spray on her to test out how this worked alone without any other help. She has stopped itching her face off and body off and there are usually only like 3-4 flies on her max and they do not stay on her long and I have yet to see any of those knats eating at her belly and ears (thank goodness). Her coat looks great and seems silkier and is growing back in nicely where she itched it off. She itches very little now and she is not itching off her skin anymore (which is what I wanted) but I have only been using this for only 2 weeks so I will give it time to help her more. I think if I start using fly spray again mixed with this my fly sensitive horse will be happy again. It is a hot desert winter here and I have yet to try this in the dry summer fly season so we will see how that goes with my other horses. On top of all this she LOVES to eat it! She eats every last bite she can get. She gets so excited when I am making her feed now that she nickers and paces her corral watching me mix it with her grain. So horse approved! 5 stars!!! The only negative I can think of is it is pricey. I buy a 50lbs bag of her horse senior feed with the cost of this 5lbs bag. And the 5lbs bag is the biggest bag they have, it only lasts around 2 weeks for a horse who needs to eat 1 full cup a day. Wish they had bigger bags (*hint *hint). Other than that I LOVE THIS!!! And my horse does too!!! So horse and owner approved! 5 stars!!! I will write another review for the dry fly summer months results to tell how it goes for my horses.

I've been using this product for well over a year, daily. All my dogs love this stuff. I sprinkle it over their food. It helps with bad breath that a few of the dogs have, it also helps with coat issues and scratching that sometimes crop up seemingly random. An added benefit is the anitoxidants found in brewers yeast. I recommend this brand, Thomas Labs both in th 5lb container and the smaller size. Quality has always been on point. A scooper is included with product.

I add this to the top of my Pekin ducks food. I use it mainly as a Niacin supplement and they love it! It reeks like garlic (as intended), and they are very strong and healthy.

This stuff is awesome. We've had a terrible time with fleas this year. None of the usual expensive stuff that you squeeze on to the back of their necks has worked this year, and frankly trying to make sure they swallow a pill is a lot harder than you would think. Somehow, they always manage to spit it back out. Anyway, our 7 month old pit was having nasty breakouts from what I believed was a combination of fleas and food allergies. We changed his food, but it just got worse. I switched him to a homemade raw meat diet, and added this brewer's yeast and garlic to it. He gobbles it up. It took about a week and a half of eating it, and he has no more fleas, and his rash has cleared up. The no more fleas part I attribute 100% to this product. When I switched him over to this new diet I went ahead and switched our elderly basset hound over too, he also has no more fleas. Bonus, it's all natural, so I'm not poisoning my dog, and it's way cheaper than the stuff you get from the vet. I will definitely be buying this again.

I began feeding this to my dogs after a severe reaction to Trifexis heartworm medication. I had heard on a forum to feed this to the dogs as a natural mosquito and other insect repellent. The first time I mixed it with their food, I did what some had suggested and just mixed it in with the dry food right out of the bag. My dogs did not really care for it that way. So, the next time, I mixed it into warm water and stirred it into their dry food and let it sit for a minute. Now, my dogs who were not really food driven, are now food driven. They do a little dance everytime I grab their bowls to mix it up. On another note, I rescued the sweetest dog from a kill shelter. She was skin and bones...had just had puppies weened from her and very malnutritioned...so much so that her hair came out in clumps and I'm still trying to clean it out of every nook and cranny of my house. She now has the most shiny, full, beautiful coat in just 2 weeks. She gained 9 lbs in 2 weeks...from 34lbs to 43lbs...and NO ONE can keep up with her.

Bought the 1 lb. for a Mottled Duck chick. Unfortunately the chick died the next day, before the product arrived, so I can't say how it works for that. Added to our adult Muskovy Duck's food for the vitamin and protein content along with the garlic to help keep the bugs away. Our old dog is on Hills Kidney Care Diet. He didn't like the flavor enough to enjoy eating that. Added Thomas Labs Brewers Yeast and Garlic, now he eats it up and licks the bowl. Bought the 5 pound this time as it is much cheaper. My dog likes it enough to eat plain. Highly recommended.

I use this for fleas on my 4 dogs. It works pretty good. They have healthier coats too.

I have been adding this to my chickens feed ever since they were babies, and they are so healthy and their feathers are super shiny. I do add other supplements as well, but I read on Fresh Eggs Daily that chickens that eat garlic don't have as many problems with mites and pests, because the pests don't like the taste of their skin. The garlic flavor does not transfer to the egg though. I liken this to adding Frontline to my dogs skin. Great product.
