Really solid melodeath
This was my first exposure to Immortal Souls and I was more than impressed. In a world where most Christian metal made after 2000 is generic metalcore, this album delivers the goods. Definitely heavily inspired by acts like At The Gates, In Flames, and Children of Bodom with widely-diddly main riffs and powerful vocals, although this album isn’t exactly groundbreaking it delivers on that sound to an amazing level.Standout tracks to me are definitely Nightfrost, Constant, and Heart of Cold. The last 2 tracks feature some clean vocals in the choruses that aren’t exactly to my liking, but the rest of the album is so good that it won’t stop me from rating it 5 stars

Six more weeks of winter!
Or at least as long as you can manage to listen to this album continuously. Immortal Souls is a talented Christian melodeath band from Finland. Otherwise known as winter metal, the songs incorporate many not-so-obscure winter metaphors involving ice, snow, and frost--sometimes a combination of all three.Okay then, what do you have other than that? I mean, don't the lyrics get old after a while? Well, yes, they can, but have no fear because the songs on this album tend to blend together on the first and second listens owing to the fact that the band doesn't try anything earth-shattering on this album. The music in this album is fast and heavy. No complaints there. The guitars create intricate, twisting melodies wrapped within the tendrils of death metal. The vocals at times sound almost too Children-of-Bodom-ish for some tastes, as they are not deep and throaty, but screechy and raspy, at times inducing a chilling black metal-effect.The drumwork is adequate, but not great, either. Does this album leave a little bit to be desired? Absolutely. That said, don't let these comments discourage you from purchasing an above average melodeath album. Immortal Souls has 'it'. Wintereich is a good album and is more than worthy of a listen or two. I'll give it a 3.8/5 stars. There is room for improvement for this band.

Great Winter Metal from Finland
Wintereich was my first CD from Immortal Souls, and they became one of my favorite metal acts after just one listen. I found out about Immortal Souls while I was searching for metal bands from Finland (my Finnish heritage probably has something to do with my undying interest in Finnish music). The CD itself makes for quite an entertaining listen, and though it is not particularly groundbreaking or unique, it is nonetheless one of my favorite metal albums of all time. The musicianship and songwriting are excellent, and I'm sure that almost every metal fan will find something to like about this CD, if not the band itself. I recommend their other CDs as well, as they too are quality albums in their own right.

Killer Band
Very enjoyable presentation - talented musicians and skillful vocals in an enjoyable offering. This release is dynamic and demands attention. Absolutely worth the purchase.Praise Jehovah and give thanks for His only Begotten Son Jesus Christ who's name literally means Jehovah is salvation, also meditate on what the Bible says about Jesus - "For [the death] that he died, he died with reference to sin once for all time".
