Buenas noches, Luna (Goodnight Moon, Spanish Edition)

Not as fun to read as the English version
We use to own the English board book until our son destroyed it when he was much younger. We thought we'd replace it with this Spanish version. Unfortunately we didn't realize that the translation would leave out all of the fun of the original.Part of the reason we enjoyed reading the original was because it rhymed throughout the book, this version doesn't rhyme at all. It's just a plain translation of the original but since it doesn't rhyme it's really not all that fun to read.I'd suggest finding other stories that would translate into Spanish better but in this case it doesn't really work.

En este cuento clásico
En este cuento clásico de la literatura infantil, adorado por generaciones de niños, la poesía que encierra su texto y la ternura de sus bellas ilustraciones convierten a éste en un libro ideal para culminar el día.

Bilingual favorite
Goodnight Moon is exemplary in its simplicity. Simple words that a growing reader can use to expand their sight words, coupled with a great transition to their own bedtime, this book is a staple in homes since its publication. The Spanish edition allows native speakers and those wishing to expose their children to second languages a great way to help their children appreciate the look and feel, the smell of a good book.

Memories! And now bilingual ones!!
I used to read this to my niece when I would visit her as a baby. Now, 5 years later, I have my own baby to read this book to. Teaching my daughter Spanish right off the cuff is incredibly important to me. I don't want her to miss a beat or have to struggle to pick it up later, so my parents and I take turns reading her books in Spanish so that she could get used to the phonetics and vocabulary. I'm so happy we got this book for her.

We loved it.
My son loved it! He has learned more Spanish words with this book. I know that some of the pages do not have color, but I think that is done on purpose. The rest of the book has great colors and the book is in great condition, as it should be. I’m not sure why some people talk bad about the colors, if they are talking about the pages that seem to be colorless on purpose then they should realize that it was done on purpose. Anyway, my book is great.

Printer cut corners to save money?
Content-wise it's a good book with cute drawings. I don't understand why some pages are in color and others are black and white, though? I feel like this was a dumb way to save on printing costs. All in all, it's just ok.

Classic!
My 2.5 year old bilingual daughter loves this book! It was one of the first books I bought for her, and when we lost it, I had to buy her a second copy. It has made her love the moon even more than she already does, so much so that she makes me take her to the window in her room after we turn out the lights so that we can say good night to the moon and anything else we see. =0)I try to buy my daughter mostly books in spanish to reinforce the language, so I've bought SO many here on Amazon, and this is definitely one of our faves (along with El Camioncito Azul, La Oruga Muy Hambrienta, and La Araña Muy Ocupada).

Everyone adores this book.
I love this book and so do my children. They ask time and again to read this book before bedtime.I love how every page you turn the light gets dimmer, setting the mood to get ready to fall asleep. One odd thing though, not sure if it's a printing error but the book says 'globo rojo' when the balloon is undoubtedly orange.

Excellent for learning vocab
My just turned 2 year old now knows all the vocab in this book. She can now point to all the objects in the room on every page when I come to a word, from me reading this book to her for a couple months. Excellent for learning vocabulary.

Very useful if you wish a child to be interested in the Spanish language
It was too young for me, I am thankful to say! So I presented it to a local charity shop, being as we have some Spanish workers in the local hospital and it soon disappeared from the shelf.
