Omnisax Bloom Pouch (Includes 5 Bags)

Okay, yes, these are expensive, but that's why we love to get Amazon gift cards, right? So I treated myself and bought the Envirosax Bloom Shopper. I was really tired of lugging those permanent plastic grocery bags into the market every time I went shopping and honestly, if I forgot to bring them into the store, I just grumbled to myself and accepted the store bags. These Envirosax bags are great because they fit into my handbag, and so I always have them with me. To cut down on clutter in my purse, during the week I leave 4 in the little bag that they come in (and leave it in the car) and put the 5th one directly into my purse--great for the times when I'm doing non-grocery shopping. Each one wraps up easily and has its own attached closure strap with snap, so that makes it very compact for my purse. They are strong, too, and easy to carry. Added bonus: the Bloom pattern is very attractive. As the check-out clerk commented when I tossed her the bag of bags, which is about the size of a cosmetic bag, "How cute is that!" The bags themselves are quite spacious, by the way, and as I mentioned, seem really strong. Definitely a five star product, although it would be nice if they were a bit less expensive.

Envirosax are by far my favorite green bags. I received one as a gift, and have been hooked ever since. I purchased this set because I wanted more bags, and they are very attractive. The reason I like Envirosax so much is due to the fabric they use and the overall design.The fabric is very durable, and holds up well when I throw them in the washer/dryer. The design makes them larger than other green bags, so you can really stuff a lot in them. They also roll up into a small roll, about the size of a roll of quarters (only much lighter, of course). The bags have a little strap and snap on them to hold the roll closed, eliminating the need for a sleeve or second piece that can get lost. The set comes in a nice pouch that you can throw in your car or handbag - the pouch holding 5 bags is about the size of a small makeup bag. Or, grab a single rolled-up bag and toss it in your purse or luggage. Envirosax are great for traveling because they pack easily and weigh practically nothing.I also recommend the Flip & Tumble Produce Bags (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002UXQ7QQ/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00). These are great produce bags that also wash up great, and are a good addition to the Envirosax. There is even room enough for me to tuck these produce bags in the pouch with the Envirosax, so everything is together when I go to the grocery store.

This is an awesome product. It's easy to carry around with me without taking up a lot of space. It's sturdy, the colors are brilliant and it dries quickly I once broke a glass food container inside one of these. After cleaning up the mess, I took the bag home, washed it and it was as good as new.Of this set of five, I feel the purple and the mustard yellow (they call it "tan") patterns were the most beautiful. After two years of use, my most often used bag has small holes (from when I made the mistake of carrying sharp items inside of them) but the fabric is such that it does not tear easily. Even with the small holes, I'll load up the bag with 15 lbs. of groceries and it holds up fine. Plus, the designs camouflages the imperfections. I always have at least one with me, though sometimes, I wish I had two. I expect my bag to last at least another year of frequent usage.

I've only had these about a week so far. But they are great. The whole pack fits easily in the diaper bag I carry, so I usually have all of them with me at once. Or since they all roll up very small I can keep one in a smaller purse if that's all I'm carrying at the time. The are very big and will hold a lot of stuff. Material is durable and easy to wipe down if dirty.I can see how others say they aren't the best for a lot of groceries. Maybe a few things, but the shape of them doesn't do well for a lot of boxes and bottles like you might get when grocery shopping. For reusable bags, the cheaper ones with the flat bottom are probably still best for groceries. But, I'm ok with that, because it's the one place I prefer getting the plastic bags, because I reuse them as small trash can liners and for cleaning out the cat litter boxes.

All Omnisax bags are great, and hold up well. ( I've had friends buy knock-offs just to have the bags break at the seams). These pack up well, hold up well, look great, and make great gifts (even if it's just one and not the whole set). You can get them on sale sometimes - after Thanksgiving they have a site sale so you can get some at half price. The rest of the time, Amazon has the best prices.I will admit we don't use for groceries because I prefer a flat bottom bag for that, but these are great carryalls, emergency bags, shopping bags for the mall etc, And I love it that it saves us from having to use paper or plastic bags. You can also tie the handles in a knot, so you can secure whatever it is inside (ie when travelling, I use it to double bag by toiletries to prevent leaks).

These bags are very convenient and practical. I always carry one or two in my own purse and they always get admirers and people ask me where I got them. In previous years, I have given sets of these bags to almost every female friend and relative I know and they absolutely love them. They make the best possible gift and you can keep a set of your own in your glove compartment. They are great for flea and farmer's markets and great for packing up purchases from the big box stores!I have even given away a couple of my own bags because someone made such a fuss over them. This is my second set of bags simply because they are perfect and one set isn't enough. I use them for grocery shopping as it is so easy to carry one or two little pouches rather than a bunch of bags. These wash and dry perfectly and require little effort to roll them up and put them back in the pouch. The large size bag holds quite a bit - in fact I have to always tell the baggers not to overload them or they're too heavy - I have had baggers put six bottles of juice in one bag. They are pricey but I think they're totally worth it.
