This was a surprise to me. I was not expecting such a quality charger for the price. It is designed to use the PS4's USB port as the power source, but I used an old tablet charger and it worked fine too. Unlike most cheap charging docks, it uses the accessory port on the bottom of the controller for its connection to the controller, so it doesn't have the handles sticking straight up. This was an added benefit for me because it lowers the footprint so I can place it in front of my TV without blocking the screen!

I like how this connects through a different port in the controller instead of the flimsy micro usb port. Micro usb is the worst structural design ever.

I was not sure about this product at first glance, I have had other similar products and was disappointed in the way that they worked and looked. One other thing was I was not sure if you could charge just one controller or not, but I am happy to say that you can. they way that it charges is new to me, always hated the ones that charged by the micro USB port, was always unreliable and most times flimsy, also that the controllers will not overcharge and the bonus of the LED display to tell you when it is charging and when it is finished.

Works fine. Charges two controllers at once.
