Good selection. Got these to assist bad eyesight!
Didn't really need these as 1 Watt, but the person they were got for has defective sight and modern resistors are very small, often blue and impossible to read if your eyesight isn't that good. These solved that issue for someone who is experimenting. As a foot note, I do wonder why in 2024 the archaic colour code is still used. I'm sure nowdays the actual numerical value could be printed on quite easily?

Missing values
Can you believe it, but the only values I needed where 470 and 330 ohms and guess what, the 330 ohms were missing from my set. So in the end I had to get another set of 1W resistors elsewhere. I suppose if you just fancy pot luck on there being the resistor value you want in the box then it is worth a gamble. For me it didn't pay off. Caveat Emptor! Buyer beware.

Only two values out of specification - a good value pack of resistors
This is a comprehensive pack of resistors which are rated at 1/4 W with a 5% tolerance. Each value of resistor comes in a plastic, press seal bag that is labelled with the power dissipation, resistance and tolerance. So this makes them easy to store.I measured a random sample of 5 resistors from each of the numbered packs of resistors. In general, I found that the resistors were well within the tolerance levels. In most cases, they were very close to the indicated resistance. When I found a set to be outside the tolerance range, I used another tester to confirm.I found that the following resistors were measured outside specification:1 ohm were all above expected resistances (1.05 Ohm), mostly 1.06 Ohm but up to 1.09 Ohm3.3 Ohm were mostly above 5%I also found that the 2 kOhm resistors were mostly around 1.96 kOhm, but within the tolerance limits.Overall, this is a good pack of resistors and good value for money. I found out of the set of 25 values, only 2 of them were outside the tolerance range. I can therefore recommend this pack as a way to add a good range of low power resistors to your electronics arsenal.

If you need them, then buy them.
The art of home electronics is sadly dwindling, which is sad. Digital electronics has taken over using components that are not generally available for home consumers or even practical to use, if they were. This pack of discrete resistors has an incredible 1250 pieces of the most common resistor values. They all have a 1/4W rating and a 5% tolerance. They are carbon film. Each value is separately packed and clearly marked, which saves a lot of time trying to find the value you want by using the colour codes. There’s not a lot you can say about resistors. They are what they are. If you don’t know what they are, then don’t buy them.Something that is worthy of a mention is the price. Currently, they are priced at just under a tenner for 1250 units. That works out at 0.8p per resistor! A bargain.Overall, if you need them, then buy them. I hope that helps.

box of resistors!
I used to buy those velleman resistor kits at that place that is no more, so its good to see you can still just buy a no nonsense box of varied resistor values, nobody can be bothered with buying them individually surely. It seems ok, it has plenty of the usual values, and they're colour coded as standard. The box is a bit flimsy but doesn't fall apart or anything. No issues.

Massive set of resistors
You will receive massive assorted set of resistors. 1250pcs !If you are electronics enthusiast or do a lot of repairs this is great to have.Range from 1ohm all the way to 1Mohm is more than enough for any project or repair.Everything came nicely packed as in the picture with separated resistors, every value in its own little zip bag.

Works for triggering usb-c charging! Perfect size for DIY soldering
I've bought a bunch of usb-c devices only to find out they only charge with A to C cables, not C to C cables with pd charging. So that meant I needed to bring an extra usb-c to a cable plus a USB-a charger just to get them charged. Then I found out the reason they don't pull any charge is usb-pd chargers don't just produce 5v automatically. To tell it your device wants 5 volts, there needs to be 2 5.1K Ohm resistor soldered to certain pins. One between cc1 pin to ground and the other from cc2 pin to ground (Labeled A5 and B5 in the schematic) In most cases, these devices use a 6 pin usb-c connector. You can follow my image for those. Keep in mind that different devices have different amounts of room near the port. In my cases so far, It was easy to fit these resistors right behind the c-port and they are not much wider/taller than it. In other cases, you may need to use an smd resistor, figure out which pins are the cc1, cc2 and ground if the pin layout is different, etc. The picture is from my usb-c mouse and now it can charge with the same cable/charger as my laptop. Happy times! Hope this help someone out there!
