First I just wanted to light up our staircase for middle of the night trips up & down the stairs, but loved them so much I got more for the basement. I set them up to come on as you walk into each room in our basement (we have 3 rooms) and one each at the top and the bottom of the stairs. They work *perfectly* and I will definitely get more of these if I need more lighting somewhere else on our property, which I probably will, since we are right in the middle of renovations.They are perfect at helping you enter the house in the dark, and if the electric goes out. I have already taken advantage of them when I accidentally tripped a breaker and had to go down into the basement to turn it back on... and forgot my flashlight, lol. No worries, because the lights lit my way as I walked.I also ended up putting in one near each toilet so you don't have to be blinded by the bright overhead light if using the bathroom in the middle of the night. They work perfectly for this reason, and stay lit just long enough to move out of the bathroom back to bed. I think they stay on about 20 seconds after they stop detecting motion.I really can't say enough good things about these lights!

I had these lights for over half a year now. Few key points:* For ~30min of activity during darkness:* Included batteries last 1-3 weeks* Rechargeable batteries last ~2 weeks* Light is extremely bright* Sensitivity is great* Dispersion is OK - you can see where the LEDs are positioned through the plasticI installed one in the bathroom so that I can have a dimmed light before bed time. Unfortunately this light is extremely bright. I tried several things to dim it out:* Cover with tape/paper from the outside - works ok, still lots of light will get out as sensor shouldn't be covered. Also light detection stops working and it just turns on all the times* Cover with tape/paper from the inside - provides better light dimming, but has the same issues as above* Cover some of the LEDs with bluetac - this provides best dimming. Even with 1 light left, there's a ton of light around.* Severe the wires to all LEDs except one - this is same approach as above, but less energy should be used overallI ended up having all but one LEDs severed. Then I put some cotton fabric on top of the working LED until the light would be dim enough. This way I get an automatic light which is pleasant during the night in the bathroom.2 things that would make this product amazing:* Ability to set lights brightness (with a screw or something)* Better dispersion of light

Overall I'd say it's a good product, pretty bright and seems to pick up motion well. Only issues I have is that two out of the four have loose twist caps (they don't close tight) which can be an issues if there is vibration on it for example when a door closes. Luckily I haven't had issues yet with anything falling down but I could definitely see it happening. I really like how batteries are included though I do not know how long they will last.

It works well.It requires frequent battery changes though, so that will add to overall cost.Great for temporary solution to small spaces. Not recommend as a long term solution or for large areas.

I purchased these in 2015 and it is now 2023 and I still love them. They work so well on the stairs to our basement.

I have now purchased 3 sets of these lights for our warehouse. The fist set worked perfectly, even on our high warehouse ceilings. ( I'm not sure how high maybe 20 feet?) They helped light the path out the rear door where there was no switch. My husband liked how he could walk through the warehouse and have the lights come on and then he'd watch them go out, one by one as he locked up. The only problem is the batteries that came with them, and as seems to be the problem with even name brand batteries these days, these leaked and ruined the lights. I now ordered a replacement set plus one more, and I am installing IKEA rechargeable batteries. We haven't had any trouble with rechargeable batteries ruing things, and hey, they are rechargeable. The lights are great and work better than I expected, so I'm not going to ding them for batteries that perform like pretty much any other disposable battery on the market.
